When I was shopping for art for the room my girls share here at the brownstone, I knew I wanted something feminine, but modern. And I wanted it BIG! Something to work with this vintage french poster from their last room.
Art.com has a ton of Warhol prints, several from his Flower series. I thought this color way would be perfect on the pale lilac walls. And the black background helps keep things from going too sweet.
Then I used their “View In Room” program to see the actual scale of this huge print.
I uploaded a couple photos of different walls in the room, which ended up being really helpful, because it looked horrible in the first place I had in mind. I loved how it looked next to the windows where I planned to put the play table.
Here’s the Warhol print hanging in the girls’ room. It feels so bright and happy in there! They love it.
Love the art, the wall color, and the table. But let's talk about those amazing kid size chairs!!! Where oh where are they from?
i'm pretty much choking up at the table and chairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but the art is also so, so perfect. go art.com!
Love this idea of seeing the art virtually before you make the purchase. And you're right, it's not too girly girly with the black background. Looks really beautiful.
wow, two amazing videos from art.com. i haven't been on their site in a bit…i will most certainly check it out today. and the fact you can see the art in your room before you purchase is a huge plus!
omg jenny your girls' room is absolutely adorable! I love the pale lavender walls! Can't wait to see more pictures of the brownstone!!
The art looks amazing! I love that you can upload a pic of your room and "try the art on" brilliant
That art is great but the pint size chairs steal the show! Someday I'll get my hands on a bertoia or panton!
Beautiful! It's a fun contrast to the room and I really like it with the pantone chair below. Go big art!
Happy belated to my design hero! Such a cute girls room.
