These are so beautiful and sculptural but I am only noticing one that has a diffused, comfortable light (the white glass globe & brass). Any tips on practical use of metal/opaque shaded, open ended types of fixtures? I can only imagine them not being literally painful if installed below eye level, which gets pretty low when you are sitting in a seat or in bed! Do you guys use these with super dim wattage for ambient light only?? Curious for real!

Everyone will have a different preference here, but I think it’s also a lot about bulb wattage and temperature! Use a really low wattage and warm bulb for a softer glow!
