In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!

To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. I don't know where I would start with $500 to spend at HD! Crown moulding? New faucets? New vanity and sink? Paint? Wood to trim out my fireplace? Oh the projects are endless in our house! Thanks so much for the chance to win this giveaway, Jenny!

  2. My husband and I just bought our first place in Brooklyn! Hooray! We are fixing up our bathroom and kitchen, so this would come in handy! I would buy some penny tile or a dishwasher, oh man there are so many things.

  3. Hmmm!!! $500 would be so fun to use to do a little update in the master bedroom, that has not been touched in the 2 years weve been in this house. Or the more practical move would be to do the kids bathroom floor. I just painted the vanity and will be trying your concrete technique for the counters next.

  4. I just moved to a new apt in a completely new city after graduating from college. I would love to be able to re-paint my old furniture and tackle projects that I've been neglecting due to my busy school schedule. Thanks!

  5. Oh my goodness, what a giveaway! I would use the giftcard to do some major painting overhaul to my furniture and my walls! :)

  6. Oh my goodness what a giveaway! I would use the giftcard towards lots of paint for updating some furniture and bedroom walls :)

  7. i am working on so many projects right now, $500 at the home depot would go a long way! we are working on painting and re-flooring our "great room." thanks!

  8. If I won, we would finish our bathroom remodel. We have to replace the tub and the tile and the counter top. We already have it painted and new cabinets.

  9. Thanks for the chance! We'd light up our home with new paint and light fixtures in our kitchen and family room. Your blog absolutely inspires me.

  10. Your laundry room redo totally got my mind spinning. I'm in the process of trying to choose where to start with my new place. I would love to use that gift card toward lumber to try my hand at building a kitchen island (and treating it somehow), adding some new accents (rug, pulls, paint, etc.). I'd also love to work with my yard and add plants inside and out. With a new space, the list keeps getting longer!

  11. If I won, I'd fix up our laundry room that has been torn apart by our dogs. Install new moldings, DIY a nice laundry station and add a lovely retro-ish wallpaper.

  12. I'd put it toward a window casing project I have going, and I'd definitely do some sort of paneling/board and batten and a new bench in the entryway!
