Picking a paint color is something that I get asked about constantly. I wish I could say there is an exact science to it, but the truth is- it can be hard! There is a fair amount of trial and error involved, but through the years I have found some favorite paint colors that I find myself coming back to time and time again. 

While these are all colors that I have used and love, it is SO important to always sample your paints before committing to one!

I absolute love thrifting and finding unique vintage pieces, and got so excited when I found these frames for just a couple of dollars each on a trip I took down to Tucson. I loved the shape and the detail, but the wood stain was starting to chip off in a few places. I could tell they were solid wood, and I really liked the the natural wood underneath that was peaking through. I decided to strip them using oven cleaner, and the results are so, so good!

I wanted to do something fun and personal for our Juniper team for the holidays, and these monogrammed tote bags seemed like the perfect gift. They were fun, relatively simple, and they really are a gift that anyone can use and enjoy.

I walked through the basics of making these on my instagram stories, but figured dedicating a full blog post would be worth it, considering how many of you loved them!

Supplies Needed:

• Tote Bags
• 3/8 inch Painters Tape (or whatever size you want your stripes to be!)
• Matte Acrylic Craft Paint
• Round Sponge Brushes
• Stamps
• Ink Pad
• Fine Tip Markers

The first thing you will want to do is choose your colors (I found all of mine at my local Michaels- they had a huge variety).

Wrapping gifts for the holidays might be more fun for me than opening them. I love using a variety of ribbons, papers, and even making my own wrapping paper! I posted a few videos on my Instagram story of some basic kraft paper I splattered with watered down white craft paint to use in a gift exchange, and I got so many questions! I figured it was time to give a full tutorial and – spoiler alert – it’s REALLY easy.
