Today is the very last day to enter to win a laundry room e-design from yours truly which comes with a $5000 Mastercard gift card and a year’s supply of Tide. I hope you’ve entered already (and here’s the link in case you haven’t!).
In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!
To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.
Contest ends Monday, August 26 at midnight. Winner will be contacted via email. Good luck! (And don’t forget to enter the EXTRA BIG give away here!)
Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)
we just moved across country, too, and our list is never ending…I'd take down all of the cheesy blinds that are all over the house and replace with bamboo or matchstick blinds. the previous owners also did a lot of DIY board and batten and they took a lot of short cuts. It's on my list to finish things off and make them look more professional, or at least I'm aiming to make it look more an intentional part of the house and have if flow more – a $500 Home Depot gift card would be incredible. And I HAVE to do an MDF laundry folding shelf on top of my washer/dryer! I'm a faux bois nut and already have a faux bois rug, but I could sneak it in the laundry room! Thanks for inspiring me to go for it when I have an idea!
Actually, I would redo our laundry room as well!
plants, plants, and paint.
I would yes it to spruce up my front porch and entry way. It's looking a little shabby!
I would refinish all the hand-me-down furniture I got for my new first apartment! My parents bought these things when they first got married, and while it's all solid wood with good bones, the stain is out of date and there are some bad scratches all over.
I could do soooo much with this–we have a new little old house, built in the 50s with the original kitchen and bathroom. I would use this to even get a new toilet, which would be surprisingly exciting.
I'd use the $500 Home Depot gift card to begin renovating our tiny, decrepit bathroom.
If I won the $500 Gift Card to the fabulous Home Depot, we'd start with a fresh coat of paint in each of our bathrooms (it's been 12 years!) and then replace a few light fixtures, a bathroom mirror, and if there was enough left in the budget I'd love to tile our master bath. Guessing that's a tall order for $500, but would love to see how far we could get! Thanks for the giveaway! :D

I would use it toward updating my builder-grade bathroom. I think everyone deserves a spa-like feeling when they get ready in the morning!
Like you, I just moved into a house that needs a lot of work, so it's hard to choose! I can think of a million ways to spend it, but I think I'd start with updating the bathrooms.

We need a new toilet, shower head and paint for the bathroom!

we just moved to Nashville and have been going to home depot regularly! as our house is a rental, the $500 would go towards customizing storage in the closets and fixing the door to the sun room (BIG gap!).
I already bought the paint for my laundry room makeover, but I want to buy lumber to make a counter over my washer and dryer and some shelving.
I also want to get a storm door before winter.
I would use it towards a bathroom Reno project !
I would buy a new front door!
Just got home from HD, with a list a mile long of things we'd like to buy!
Being that we just moved…door knobs, update laundry room, new front door….
I'd do a dresser DIY refurbish!
I need a new washer, but I really want to expand my back patio with some pretty pavers and a sitting area.
I would buy awesome lawn furniture.

I can think of so much a GC to Home Depot could do… I need laundry room organizers, a new ceiling fan, outdoor floodlights, and some decor for my newly remodeled bedroom…. love your DIY's!
I would love to take that $500 Home Depot card and re-do my bedroom. I have so many bookmarked DIY projects and that card would go a long way to putting a dent in those projects.
Oh, the joy. I'm thinking high gloss concrete sealant for the garage, wainscoting for the back hallway, and new drapery hardware for the master…
We are moving this week and I have been to Home Depot 5 times in 3 days!! Garden supplies, plaster, a nail gun…next up: Plaster and paint. so excited!! My daughter and I are doing your vinyl chair DIY for her desk-so beautiful.
I'd use the $500 for our basement upgrade–installing some drywall and leveling the floors off for some laminate!
Breakfast nook, new entryway lighting, and paint.I get so much inspiration from LGN! Thanks Jenny!
Your painting is lovely! I would use the $500 towards kitchen updates :)

This would be so wonderful/useful/amazing! We have a list of 15+ things we would like to do to our new (first!) house including a peg board storage in the garage for our new lawn tools (we have grass!) and my newest project is a gallery wall with a bunch of old frames that would look great spruced up with some spray paint…the list goes on!

Fingers crossed as I would love to replace the flooring in the kitchen. Thinking about going with the Allure.
I'm moving into a new place and this would make the BESSST housewarming gift ever. I have been dying to try and build a dining room table from scratch!
With $500 from Home Depot I would paint my new apartment!
new light fixtures for me!
oh my! My list of projects is long but I'd probably use the gift card towards some pretty glass tiles I saw at Home Depot for a kitchen back splash. Thanks for sharing so many great ideas with us!
Yay! Great giveaway!! Carrie
We bought a new house 3 months ago and are slowly tackling items on our to-do list. A Home Depot (aka our second home) gift card would help us with so many projects! I have a few pieces that need to be refinished/painted, and we're also planning to finish our basement so this would help with materials!
I need to get rid of the ceiling boobs in this house! haha (ie: new light fixtures)
So many things I could use from the Home Depot. Thanks for the giveaway!
Love the faux bois countertop! I'm thinking of redoing the tops of the two antique sewing machines I use as sofa end tables, and this might just be the thing, so thanks for the tutorial. If I had a $500 gift card to Home Depot, I would get an air compressor and pneumatic staple gun for upholstery projects, and PAINT!
I would buy a new washing machine! I broke mine washing a pillow that I use in my pre-school classroom! My husband was thrilled and has been trying to fix it!
With the $500 (!!!) gift card to the Home Depot, I would use it to fund some projects I've been wanting to create for my college bedroom! A chalkboard and storage are just two out of my many ideas! :)
