So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. This is really cool! I'm not sure it would replace real paint for me, but it would be lots of fun to play with new ideas without making messes. Good for sketching, too.

  2. I'd probably have the most success with an abstract painting or very modern geometric motif, but the import photo function looks tempting too!

  3. Wow that is a pretty amazing app! Glad I found the link to your blog on Pinterest ! I have been trying my hand at old style theorum painting. Wonder if it could work using this app?

  4. I'd work on some portraits… Hundreds of pics of my just 2 yr old, and nothing on the wall. (And I think Nat would like some supervised play!)

  5. Jenny what a fabulous give away. Thanks. I'd so love I constantly help my friends and I just adore. Guess whatt my son just got into NYU-Tisch, Pratt and the new school, so no matter what he chooses you'll be neighbors. Pratt you'll be close neighbors. But I'd love to have to have the visions of New York through a new comers eyes the way I felt when I was with him. An 18 year old, jus tarting out on his life and choices, from Texas, dreaming of going to and living in NYC and going there for first time since ten and taking it in. Murray's bagels, Tisch and the NYU bookstore, Lang and the Barnes and Noble bookstore, brooklynn and Pratt with a real campus and tress and beautiful brick and stone homes with dry cleaners next beautiful boutique hotels and every nationality living together. I can still see it all. I was like I so want to call Jenny and ask her where— is. Ha!:). I think we all feel like we know you and your fab blog!!! Did I miss the blog where you acknowledged you won the homies? I never saw it and looked and don't think I've missed one but I must have. Anyway. You are great.
And where did you get your office chair fabric? And have you ever felted a wall? Please register me.

  6. This seems like such a cool app! I can never find art that I like so I would definitely love to create my own abstracts. The wet paint function also seems really fun.

  7. As an artist by trade, I would use the program to experiment with different colors and techniques while planning out new collections and projects!

  8. So appealing to be able to create such amazing artwork without all the mess! I love painting — mostly still life, a little abstract — but the thought of setting up and cleaning up always keeps me from getting out the paints. I'd love to try some hand, brush stroke lettering! Thanks for this amazing giveaway!

  9. Portraits definitely! I've been wanting to paint one of my grandfather for quite awhile now. I've just been too intimidated!

  10. I am a painter who is inspired by ideas of memory and nostalgia. I use found photographs from thrifting as inspiration for large paintings. The most recent series I have done have been Birthday Parties and Summer Vacations. I have been very curious about how working digitally would influence my work!

  12. I don't feel that painting is my strong suit but I've always wanted to paint the people and things I love. Maybe this would help me fulfill that dream!

  13. What a great giveaway! And such a fun app… I spent yesterday afternoon at the Met, so this would go great with all of that inspiration… pick me!! Pick me!!!

  14. As my partner & I go apt hunting, I come to your site to dream about what our new apt can look like. Thanks for all your creative work. Excited about the possibilities…
