So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. The wet paint feature sounds awesome! I'm not much of an artist but it would definitely make me feel like achieving my dream of being a skillful painter :)

  2. The possibilities here are endless! I grew up in Fiji and miss it so much. I'd love to use a few photos to paint a personal landscape for each of my family members. Like maybe the beautiful school that my Dad was principal of, or the waterfall that i got stuck on for almost an hour till i made the jump! Or for my brother the small island that we accidentally left him on. (Don't worry, we finally figured it out!!)

  4. My husband is a fantastic abstract painter — his work really inspires me. He's been wanting to teach me how to get more creative, but I'm nervous playing around on canvas because I know I'll waste so many! I'd love to try my hand at painting virtually with a tool that helps your work look its best!

    Thanks!

  5. I'd love to see what my three kids could create this summer! I see endless possibilities…but I'm sure our french bulldog & cat would be our first subjects!

  6. I was recently trying to find a way to create some custom art for a client. This would be perfect! I would try something abstract or maybe start with a classic botanical or bird study and add layers of color and texture collage-style to create something that blends traditional and modern.

  7. I would love to import a photo of my dog and "paint" it. I've always wanted a portrait of him, but could never justify the expense. This would be perfect.

  8. I wold do some abstract landscape paintings. My husband travels all over the world for work and is gone for many months at a time. I would love to turn some of his photos into paintings. It would be a beautiful way for me to reference where in the world he is when he is away, and become a keep sake for him as well. :)

  9. I want to paint a watercolor of the birds I sometimes feed at work. It's such a calming private moment I spend; just the brids and me.

  10. I would love to paint abstracts, but the more I think about it, I think my kids would actually love creating with this even more–and no cleanup!

  11. I would love to try my hand at some abstracts, and maybe a portrait, or two, of my four legged kiddos. How great would it be for custom stationary! Or fabric! Or wallpaper! Oh dear, this could be bad…

  12. I LOVE this! I would totally "paint" ten-thousand Warhol-style paintings of my family members using the "wet paint" option!

  13. This would be really great for those times when I can't take my art supplies with me. I would love to do both abstracts and portraits.
