I posted my cleaning schedule last week when I shared my cleaning closet redo and some of you were curious if my girls help with the household work.

Evie helps out too, but my two older girls are old enough to do some real cleaning as part of their weekly chores. To make their chores a little more exciting (a stretch, I know!) and to give them more ownership, the girls and I decided they needed their own cleaning kits.

We decided to block out our weekend and we’ve got nothing planned but house projects! I am so excited to share one big one in particular (photos coming!), but one small project I want to tackle is making a second one of these little necklace holders I did for my first Domino article project.

I’m running out of space and my necklaces are getting buried, which sort of defeats the purpose of the thing.

While it is fun in some ways to live in a house where we can stretch out a little more and the kids and the dog can run around more freely, I’m learning a bigger house sort of just means there’s more to clean! :) I use a cleaning schedule that really helps, but I was feeling like I needed a central command station.

I’ve always heard that it’s really important to have your goals written in a place where you’ll see them often. I thought it would be great to have a big wall in my office dedicated to ideas and goals and to-do’s. I thought of a chalkboard wall first, but I liked the idea of a big and bright white board. White boards are a little easier to write on and clean up anyway.

You can make any flat surface (including walls) a white board, but I wanted a magnetic surface and I wanted to be able to customize the size of the board.
