Today is the very last day to enter to win a laundry room e-design from yours truly which comes with a $5000 Mastercard gift card and a year’s supply of Tide. I hope you’ve entered already (and here’s the link in case you haven’t!).
In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!
To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.
Contest ends Monday, August 26 at midnight. Winner will be contacted via email. Good luck! (And don’t forget to enter the EXTRA BIG give away here!)
Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)
We desperately need to add some shelving n our laundry room and also some built ins in our living room… At the moment we are in denial about needing more storage …
Need to build a kitchen banquette…lumber, tools, etc.
I would LOVE to win this gift certificate. We just bought a house and I think right now 90% of our income is going to Home Depot. Our next project is painting our master bedroom and our guest bedroom so the money would go to that and another less glamorous project – replacing our master bedroom toilet. Thank you!
My bathroom could use some major updating- light fixtures, faucet and vanity!

If I won the gift card I would use it buy a graco x5 paint sprayer along with paint. We're getting ready to paint our addition with vaulted ceiling.
With a $500 gift card from home depot I'd make some exterior changes to my home-including purchasing new shutters.
I would definitely use this for a new stainless steel sink for the kitchen!! Fingers crossed!
With the gift card I would give a face lift to our tiny master bathroom. It's really little so I could probably get a whole new vanity, light fixture, and mirror as well as paint with the money.
So many things need done in our newly purchased foreclosure. Probably a new sink and faucet to replace our leaky one!
We would get new flooring for our kitchen. No more yellow linoleum.
If I won the gift card I would buy the replacement parts for my washing machine that broke last night and fix up the floorboards that suffered water damage :) and then I would have some fun and do an inexpensive laundry makeover. And I would totally steal your faux bois treatment for a counter top over the washer and dryer because I am ashamed of the amount of socks that were under my washer and dryer last night!
My yard needs a makeover. It's a disaster. $500 would go a long way!
we are trying to turn a dingy basement into a nice apartment for our daughter and her son. a gift card would get things rolling!
I need paint to make some color updates!
This would be AMAZING as we are moving to NYC this week into a new (dated!) apartment. I'd love to try your countertop DIY from your laundry room in our 80s-tastic bathroom!
I would tackle my closet area which doubles as a laundry room…Only sounds good in theory with the current set up.
I'd buy paint and a stencil kit to decorate my daughters' "bookshelf" (it's actually an antique wooden baby cradle).
I'd like to free-hand it the way you did your daughters' violet dresser, but also know my limitiations!
Wow! We would love this.
My stepdad, Mr. Handy himself is arriving on Friday from NC for a week in Reno. This gift card would go towards all the projects I have lined up for him… Shelving system in the office, laundry closet make over and about 8 other things that need done before our first baby arrives.
Oh so many projects I could use the giftcard for–but appliances, or paint, or new kitchen counters would probably be at the top of the list.
Wow! We would love this.
I have been wanting to do a tufted headboard for a long time now. I would use the gift card to buy supplies and also to buy paint to paint the new nursery :)
Oh this would be wonderful! I really want to make over my closets, they are such a waste of space right now. Installing anything more custom would be perfect. And I would definitely buy a new chandelier to replace an old granny one. :)
I would love to win $500, I would use it to towards updating our "laundry space" in our unfinished basement.
great idea
I'm also updating our laundry room to be more functional so a Home Depot go would really help out with that!
I'm in need of some serious landscape help so my $500 would go straight to a fall landscaping plan!
completely inspired by your laundry room makeover!! i would love to replicate components of it in my unfinished basement with a home depot gift card to…dare i say… make the act of laundry slightly more enjoyable!!??
I loved your melamine plank walls, so if I won I would use that money to redo my bathroom and the remainder to do another LGN project, painting tile!
I would update our guest bathroom!
Oh, the possibilities! I'd probably make a headboard for our bed.
Paint and light fixtures perhaps!!
We have a million things on our house to-do list and $500 to Home Depot would definitely help! Next up on my list are replacing the front door and redoing our fireplace.
My kitchen is in desperate need of some help. Peach cabinets and old grimy laminate flooring is not a good look.
With a $500 Home Depot gift certificate I would start to tackle my never ending to do list…. 1st step, new light fixtures around the front door, and some planters to spruce up the front porch.
I would LOVE to work on my guest bath! It could use a spruce up!
I would love to finally put some good TLC into my backyard!
If I won the Home Depot $500 gift card, I would spruce up my front porch with new light fixtures for the front door and a few planters as well!
I love the new counters so thank you for the tutorial. I would buy lumber and paint to build shelves in my closet. Also, I would buy wood to make an ironing "board" that I would place over my washer and dryer. It would be easier than an ironing board. When I am not using it, I would put it aside.
New light fixtures for sure.
I would love to finally put some good TLC into my backyard!
I would definitely update my kitchen and add some paint/decor to the nursery!
Lighting fixtures for our dark living room.
New storm doors for our front and side porches!
so what would i do with $500 from home depot? PAINT PAINT AND MORE PAINT!!! seriously, we moved into our home in october and it's just 6 years old. unfortunately it has builder's grade yellow/beige paint. flat. boring. ugly. driving me insane. HELP!!!
I would use it towards building a teepee for my kid. He's been begging for one! Along with a built in bed for his bedroom.
Oh man…$500…where to start?!? New curtain rods for the ENTIRE house, bamboo blinds for the kitchen, paint, paint, paint, and I would let my husband have some $$ for new tools. I'm awesome like that. :)
Love reading your blog and thanks for the giveaway!
I would buy gorgeous plants for our balcony so people in the parking lot can't see into our house! and some shelves! apartment living is rough
I would spend the $500 gift card on making some copper pipe book cases for our guest room.
I would use it to finish up our coat closet turned mud room. Moving from UT to AZ we have found little use for a coat closet.
