To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. I've been re-doing my craft space in my basement and ran out of cash so $500 from Home Depot would be just in time and put to good use!
    Thanks

  2. OMG! My fiance and I just moved into a new home so we could definitely use the $500 for our weekend projects. We are trying to make a fun backyard area for entertaining family and friends so that is definitely what I would use the $500 for!! Fingers crossed!

  3. We have a dead-end hallway at the top of our stairs. I would love to turn it into an office nook by building in a desk with shelves on either side. I'd put wallpaper behind it and hang a little light fixture over it. I think $500 would cover all of that and more.

  4. I would buy paint and paint supplies for our house we bought this spring. It just doesn't quite feel like our home yet. But I think it will with some paint and then photos and art on the walls!

  5. I have a long list of things to use this money on…fresh paint on more than one room, toilet seats (lame but true), a new outdoor light fixture, etc. Thank you!

  6. I would love to do a little patio perk up with end of season sales. Or better yet – a new kitchen sink. Or new lights for the kitchen. I could go on and on!

  7. My husband and I are moving into our first home at the end of January – That $500 gift card would be a huge help with all of the little odds and ends that come along with home ownership! (and could really help us out to buy our appliances – a washer/dryer and a fridge!)

  8. With a $500 Home Depot gift card, we'd spruce up our family bathroom with bead-board and a new vanity top and faucet.

  9. I have been trying to re-do the storage in my bathroom and give it a little facelift. Would use this card to make some great built-ins and paint the vanity and mirror to perk them up! Thanks for sharing!

  10. With the %500 gift card, I would finally start the built in laundry basket holders that I have wanted for years. It wouldn't take the entire sum of money, but no doubt, it would jump start a lot more efforts to improve what is now a very sad looking laundry room.

  11. I would put it towards our home makeover! We are currently painting the entire house, redoing the flooring in our master bedroom and the stairs and puting up beadboarding in our bathroom. This would truly help us on our mission of a beautiful home! :)

  12. I'd buy the awesome tile they have at Home Depot right now that looks just like the wide plank, hand-scraped hardwood. Love it!! We just did the concrete counter tops you inspired us with this past weekend. New backsplash (in tile we bought from Home Depot) will go in this week after work and after little one is asleep. Whew! The tile I've found, though, would absolutely finish the look! :)

  13. We are moving on TUESDAY to NYC and I have so many projects in mind for our new (dated) apartment! I'd love to try my hand at your countertop DIY in our 80s-tastic bathroom!

  14. I just bought my first place and am dying to add some open shelves and glass cabinet doors to my kitchen! possibly would add a new light fixture if there's enough leftover.

  15. We're about to embark on finishing our basement… $500 to Home Depot could be for anything really, but I would probably use it to make the laundry room extra fantastic. Maybe splurge on the flooring…

  16. I would use it toward updates in the kitchen — starting with that great concrete counter treatment you did in your laundry room! Thanks for the great giveaway.

  17. Just purchased a 1969 ranch and lots of transformation to do! I would use this for our entry way/laundry hallway: appliances, paint, etc. Thank you!!

  19. ohhhh what I would do with a $500 gift card to Home Depot…

I would buy the tile that I've been coveting from there STAT! It's the big, wide tile that looks just like hand-scraped hardwood! We are in the middle of a DIY kitchen spiff-up and have just finished the concrete countertops that you inspired us with! Backsplash with subway tile we've bought from Home Depot will follow this week after work and after little one goes to sleep. Whew – I'm tired already thinking about it. ;) A gift card from Home Depot would give me a pep in my step, though!!

  20. What a fantastic giveaway! $500 to Home Depot could do a lot! We have a lot of painting to do in our home and a shower that needs some fixing!

  21. We are about to start some renos in our 1950's Bungalow and a $500 gift card from the Home Depot would go a long way to helping with the little extras!

  22. If I won the gift card I would use it buy a graco x5 paint sprayer along with paint. We're getting ready to paint our addition with vaulted ceiling.
