Today is the very last day to enter to win a laundry room e-design from yours truly which comes with a $5000 Mastercard gift card and a year’s supply of Tide. I hope you’ve entered already (and here’s the link in case you haven’t!).
In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!
To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.
Contest ends Monday, August 26 at midnight. Winner will be contacted via email. Good luck! (And don’t forget to enter the EXTRA BIG give away here!)
Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)
What a great giveaway – there are so many projects we have going on right now but perhaps the most pressing would be finishing the fence. That wood sure adds up! Thanks!
I'd finish up my master bath. And I'm working up the nerve to try your concrete counter technique!
I would redo my master bathroom by adding: high wainscoting on the wall, add new molding, paint the door a jet black, add trim to the door, paint the walls, and make a frame for the mirror!
custom build shelving in my (little) laundry room, and try my hand at the concrete counter technique.
I would update my mater bathroom by doing the following: adding high wainscoting, paint the walls, paint the door a glossy black and add square trim, paint baseboards, and make a frame for the mirror!
Slate tile for my laundry/mudroom.
If I won a $500 Home Depot Gift Card I'd buy some doors. My house is for sure a "fixer upper" and we haven't had the budget to buy doors for our main coat closet and my studio/bedroom.
Hi Jenny! I used your Ardex underlayment idea for your laundry room counters to cover up the awful tile on our fireplace. It was an instant upgrade and an all out success! Now, all we have to do is replace the old mantle with something a little less bad-idea-of-the-80s. With a Home Depot gift card, I would buy some of the gorgeous poplar wood I spotted there and build a simple, modern mantle, and use whatever left over amount to fund the hardwood floor we are putting in upstairs.
My little brick ranch is begging to be painted a dark grey with a bright colored door. This $500 would help make that happen!
We bought our 1st house last year & there is soo much to do! We are working on the bathtub surround today & this would help with that.
I'd love to win to fix up my cave of a laundry room!
I would update the laundryroom for sure, since it's really a closet, and is outside on the porch. Since we close escrow (by the grace of God) next week, I will be taking on a bunch of projects!!
bathroom makeover! at least new floors and a vanity. i'm thinking plenty of white, wood tones, and a touch of mint green.
I would revamp the laundry station (counter and sink), and add extra shelving for storage along the walls
I would love to update our microwave, and then buy some paint for our master bedroom.

I would use the gift card to for new tile for our bathrooms!
We desperately need some curb appeal! We moved into a new home and ripped up all the dead/mismatched plants and are about to start putting it all back together. Thanks for the giveaway!
With the gift card, I would finally start updating some of our awesome 80's lighting. It would be great!
Oh goodness -we sure could put that $500 gift card to wonderful use around these parts! We recently bought a fixer and have been delaying some of the smaller projects so we can build up our savings again. Our wish list includes: painting the unfinished-not-even-primed base boards on the second floor of our home, repainting the peeling trim on the first floor, painting the built-in bookshelves in my daughter's room, "upgrading" our bathroom fixtures so that they are all the same metal finish, and removing the 5 gazillion layers of paint that won't let the downstairs bedroom close!
Love seeing all of the progress on the new house!! So fun to see how you have been able to translate your style into a new home in AZ. (I live in Scottsdale, and until recently completing a home remodel, wasn't sure if I would be able to find a home that would fit my style in the midst of all of the tuscan spec homes!) Luckily I couldn't be happier with our new home and have really enjoyed seeing your journey through the same process!
We are moving to a small house in northern CA in a couple weeks, and while I don't know exactly what projects await, I can almost guarantee I will have my pick of many! The style homes out there is not exactly my cup of tea, so I forsee many DIY projects!!
I would get a new front door that I would paint a beautiful harvest color to welcome in fall – it would have a window to let some light into our dark living room, I would put the left over money into a screen door so we could get a cross breeze going but keep the little ones safe – I would get one of those fancy ones with the codes and the pedal so the door stayed open, this way I could actually bring my groceries through the front door!
I would love to win this prize! Just yesterday, I was at Home Depot shopping for ten interior doors and this prize would help me replace them all!
I would use the Home Depot gift card to buy a new stair railings and bannister.

We're moving in a couple of months … so it'd be great to get some paint and new light fixtures!
pick-me, pick-me!!
I'd definitely buy fixtures for my old-church-pulpet-turned-bathroom-vanity project!
Oh I would love to win this! I am DIYing my way through my daughter and sons rooms as we speak, including a DIY upholstered daybed! I can think of a million things I would buy with the $500!
A $500 gift card from Home Depot would be used to purchase a new dishwasher.
I'd use the $500 toward my basement renovation; mold and moisture have forced that to the top of the list!
I would use the gift card towards our bathroom redo! The previous owners left us with a mess so we are trying to pick up the pieces! $500 would really help us out!
With the gift card I would use it for my backyard. Buying lights to line the fence area at night and adding a designated patio area.

This is an amazing giveaway! We would get some tile for a new backsplash in our kitchen, and some garage organization! We need it desperately!
Ooo, what a great giveaway!! I just bought a lakehouse and am moving into it soon. We have to make over everything, it's so dated. First, I'm tackling the kitchen, painting it turquoise and doing open shelving. This gift card would help fund that!

Window treatments!
This is great! My husband and I are renovating a 60+ yr old house, and we are down to our last pennies. We would use this to give our master bathroom a bit of TLC, as it's been sorely neglected.
I'd update paint in the house and do some landscaping in our back yard!
A $500 gift card to Home Depot could really help me fix up my bathroom!
I would use the $500 to continue our efforts of switching out our old honey-colored 60's trim to a nice crisp white! Thanks!
If I won, I'd re-do our bedroom; DIY headboard, paint the walls, stain the bureau, window treatments…possibilities are endless!
Our good friends recently bought a duplex, would love to help them out!! Thanks!
If I won the $500 HD gift card I would put it towards my finishes. I am in need of finishing my exposed shelves in the kitchen, buying the brackets, the stain and some plant pots to cheer up the front patio. I can see it all : )

I would rip out the horrible bathroom vanity I'm living with and replace it with a pretty one!
I would tackle all the things, like painting the walls and replacing ugly light fixtures, that I can't justify spending money on right now since I'm a young renter!
