Today is the very last day to enter to win a laundry room e-design from yours truly which comes with a $5000 Mastercard gift card and a year’s supply of Tide. I hope you’ve entered already (and here’s the link in case you haven’t!).
In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!
To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.
Contest ends Monday, August 26 at midnight. Winner will be contacted via email. Good luck! (And don’t forget to enter the EXTRA BIG give away here!)
Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)
If I won I would start updating my kitchen, get some new countertops and paint.
I would love to use that money towards cabinets for my kitchen remodel!
I would paint our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and change the flooring in our kitchen.
I would paint my front door . . . or maybe even get a new one!
I would update my kitchen! It needs some work. ;-)
The Home Depot gift card would be used for our mudroom –to buy paint for walls and cabinets, update flooring (from in/outdoor carpet), and cover a naked light bulb.
Our next big project is making over our laundry room (how appropriate!) so I would use the money towards that…paint, wood, lighting, etc!
New master bathroom floor! All my tile is cracked and I hate it so much I try not to look down. :-)
I'd love to install lighting and new shelving …and paint.
I _just_ bought a house, and I'm looking forward to the learning process of fixing it up to my style! I thought I'd end up with an old run-down home that I'd restore to its former glory (with my personality thrown in), but instead I'm faced with making the newer additions to the house feel more integrated with the original 1935 adorable-ness. First step: replacing the carpets with laminate! This gift card would help so much!
i would absolutely put the money toward organizing my laundry room! I have a builder grade second story laundry room with wire shelving. It's so unorganized! I would put cabinets in and maybe a closet next to the washer and dryer. I would hang a drying wrack for our clothes, too instead of using our shower curtain rod in our bathroom. (which works too). My laundry room is driving me insane!
OMG – I would LOVE a HD gift card! Oddly enough, I would use it for my laundry room! First project: the faux bois folding station! Can't wait to see the tutorial!
Oooh, while my laundry room could use some work, I would probably use the gift card to fund my vegetable garden project- railroad ties, watering system, and plants of course!
I would use it toward a new sink and wall-mounted faucet for our laundry room!!!!!!
We desperately need to do something with the 70s paneling in our family room. Beadboard, maybe?
If I won $500 to Home Depot I would use it to decorate our den as a nursery!
My husband and I are expecting our first baby, so with the $500 gift card, I would use it to help transform our guest room into the nursery!
I would begin purchasing interior doors for our home as we have several that need replacing. Some have holes in them and many were cut on the bottom to accomodate a shag carpet which is no longer present.
I would buy some pretty glass tiles I have been eyeing and do a back-splash in my kitchen. Also, we need new hoses for our yeard pretty badly, ha! Which seems kind of a silly thing to buy with a gift card now as I write it. :) Fun giveaway!
The list is endless for what we could do with $500 — but I'm thinking it would be a great motivator to tackle a DIY project like our third-floor bathroom … new tiles, paint and some updated fixtures to make this bonus bathroom actually usuable!
Definitely paint! My whole house (minus 2 rooms) is builder grade Antique White! It just looks so dirty and beige.
I'd buy paint and painting equipment to paint my entire fixer-upper house!
I would definitely use this to buy tile for my bathroom floor! :) it needs an upgrade badly!
I'd love to paint our apartment and swap out the ceiling fan for a more modern looking fixture.
We're trying to renovate our small bathroom. Trying because we have a tight, tiny budget and it is slooowly coming together. With that beautiful $500 gift card we could be closer to finishing it. It could go for floor tile, a faucet, pedestal sink, lighting…it makes my mind spin!
What a great offer!! There are so many things I would use the $500 towards! Too many projects to count! But the very first one would be towards us re-facing our kitchen cabinets!! Our kitchen is sooo dated and I'd love to give it a little facelift!! Thanks for the chance!!
The $500 would go so far in my master bedroom…it needs some brightening up!
I would definitely use the gift card towards redoing our dining room into a playroom for our son. We needs lots of organization for all his toys!! Thanks
Amazing giveaway! I would love to get supplies to build a bench/banquette around our kitchen bay window….
There's so much I would do with a $500 gift card to Home Depot. I am moving in two weeks (Ahhhh!) so I will be doing tons of painting and hopefully adding an island to the kitchen, which a Home Depot gift card would really help out with!
LOVE TO WIN!
I just bought a house back last year and I have lots of projects to personalize my house better! I especially want to try some of the products that are home depot specialties! Lighting is one of them!
I would be using $500 for new plants to help with our landscaping project.
I would be using $500 for new plants to help with our landscaping project.
I think I'd pick up supplies for all the little projects that I've been putting off. Replacing the kitchen faucet, replace the guest bath & master closet light fixtures…the list goes on!
I would shop for carpeting for my soon to be renovated basement if i won the 500 dollar contest!
I would shop for carpeting for my soon to be renovated basement if i won the 500 dollar contest!
Paint, paint, paint! Tackle little projects post-move to make settling in more settled.
500 to home depo? i'm sure i could come up with something fun to do with it!! i'd probably help my mom with some renovations she needs on her home since i'm currently in between a home of my own and living with her!!
We are currently renovating our kitchen so a $500 gift card to Home Depot would be so awesome to use towards that!!
I would use the gift card to update several light fixtures throughout our new house-especially the bathrooms!
I'd add slate floors to our mudroom to coordinate with the stained concrete stair treads we put in – they're golden retriever proof!
Oh man! I just bought our very first house… a 100 yr old beauty with tons of projects to work on! This would go a long way. I would love to put it towards our master bathroom reno which we plan to take on all ourselves this winter!
I'm wanting to add crown trim around all my bathroom mirrors… $500 ought to do it! :)
We are in the process of buying our first home (hopefully within the next year), this would help us personalize our house!

I love that treatment you did on the laundry folding board — which I definitely need. With a $500 gift card from Home Depot, I would probably get a new washing machine and some cool linoleum (is there such a thing as cool linoleum?) for our laundry area….$500 probably will not cover it, but i sure would go a long way! I just came across your blog about a week ago and I loving it so far, Thanks!
I would use the money to purchase some organizers for my house – I could really use some inexpensive open shelving for storage tubs.
Oh my goodness the possibilities! I could apply it towards laminate flooring for my living room and kitchen or put up wainscoting in my kids' room and playroom, buy tile for my backsplash or bathroom, paint my kitchen cabinets…so much to do and this would be a huge help! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I'd use the $500 to finally take the plunge and add a vanity with double-sinks to our bathroom. This is just the dent that would make the project feasible!
I would love this for soooo many projects, mostly finishing my bedroom!
I would get some new furniture for my deck outside. It would be great as all the end of summer sales will be on!
