To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. We purchased our house knowing that updates were needed. The first thing on our list is tearing out the carpet in our master bathroom (eww!) and replacing the shower stall that is missing a door! So a $500 gift card to Home Depot would certainly go towards the cause!

  2. As my husband and I are still settling into our new home, a Home Depot gift card would be put to good use for a closet organization system (so difficult to share!) and refinishing our kitchen cabinets. Thanks for the opportunity!

  3. This is my all-time favorite blog! The inspiration abounds!! With a home depot giftcard, we would finish sprucing up our outside–build window boxes, a trellis, and maybe a pergola.

  5. I do believe I would put that towards a Kreg Jig for moldings when we get a house. Also, for set building at the local theatre I work with.

  6. We have wanted to build a breakfast nook in our newly refinished kitchen. It's been over a year and would make such a difference once finished. That gift card would be so helpful. Fingers crossed!

  7. If I were to win, I would put the $500 towards a new bathroom sink counter. Whoever did ours left a bizarre overhang on the final row of tiles which of course is crazy unstable and is leading to those tiles just falling right off if someone forgets the house rules and leans on the counted edge. Sigh.

  8. oooh, that's just what i need! next on my list is new lighting for my "make it work" kitchen since a gut job is several years away… we did the counters and whatnot already but the horrible dropped ceiling is wearing on me!

  9. Wow, so many projects its hard to choose! I would love to replace my backsplash but would probably landscape my backyard. Oh wait, maybe I would update my laundry room so it's functional. Or…there's too many options!

  10. Could always use some supplies from Home Depot! A few supplies to finish off our DIY bathroom reno, and some pots and accessories for our front porch (just had the exterior painted, now it needs some styling!).

  11. $500 would go a long way towards increasing my tool collection for lots of projects! A mitre saw and air compressor may be in order!

  12. The gift card would do a lot for my apartment. Maybe some paint and supplies for hiding the cords to my new TV. I could also do some built in shelves in the kitchen!

  13. There are so many things I could do with $500 from Home Depot. For starters, I'd change out some light fixtures in our house. We some that are u.g.l.y.!!

  14. I would love to win this $500 to put toward my laundry room. The layout doesn't make sense and in this room I think $500 would get me what I need to finish it.

  15. After a year of being in our fixer upper there are lots of things I could buy. But I would probably use the $500 to purchase supplies for our patio redo. With the summer almost over I wish we had tackles this one earlier!
