Today is the very last day to enter to win a laundry room e-design from yours truly which comes with a $5000 Mastercard gift card and a year’s supply of Tide. I hope you’ve entered already (and here’s the link in case you haven’t!).
In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!
To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.
Contest ends Monday, August 26 at midnight. Winner will be contacted via email. Good luck! (And don’t forget to enter the EXTRA BIG give away here!)
Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)
With a $500.00 gift card from The Home Depot, I'd buy new exterior light fixtures! They're in my ' cart' waiting for check out.
If I won, I think we would update the bathroom…there is a lot of purple in there.
I would love to win this! We are in the middle of replacing the walls in a small room in our house and I would love to put crown molding up!
We just tiled our kitchen backsplash and installed under cabinet lighting. Now, we're moving onto a nursery for our first baby! Some of the gift card would be used for the nursery. We would also probably save some for a dying washer and dryer. We've gotten 7 good years out of a hand-me-down set, but I think they're on their way out! Thanks for the chance to enter!
A garage door opener…so boring but my back is killing my trying to lift our double door everyday!
I'd work on a kitchen re-do … Appliances, flooring, cabinets!!!
A $500 Home Depot card? After picking my jaw up off the floor, I would start by outfitting the lower kitchen cabinets with pull-out wire baskets, then finding some funky light fixtures to pretty up the ceilings in our dining room, above the kitchen workspace, and in the front hallway. Then I'd take whatever was left to paint our master bedroom a soothing, dreamy shade of blue. Thanks for asking!

I need to get clean!
my laundry room is one of my least favs so how much would I love a perk-up via Home Depot!?
We're moving into a new place, so I have LOTS of projects, including stripping some furniture and getting new plants and planters for our little balcony (SO excited to have an outdoor space again!). Maggie@maggieroseonline.com
I need to get clean!
I would love to have that gift certificate to help me afford a new kitchen countertop!
I would love to use the cement overlay technique from your laundry room on my kitchen counters! I have some very old aqua laminate that I just hate. I'd also love to paint the kitchen walls and cabinets, as well as remove some cabinet doors and replace drawer and cabinet pulls. Thanks, Jenny, for all your great ideas!
i would buy trim for our basement, its been a two year project…..
I would use the Home Depot gift card to assist me in affording a new kitchen countertop!
Closet makeover!
Holy Moly, what wouldn't I do with a $500 gift card?! I'd do a thinset concrete treatment to my faux-bamboo laminate countertops in my kitchen, replace my laminate paneled dishwasher, create a folding station over my w/d in the laundry, buy some pendant kits to turn some cool baskets into lamps, my current to-do list is endless!
I don't even know where I'd start with the gift card because there's so much to be done. Greenery outside would be a must, and some wood for my dad to build a wall of built-ins in our living room. I could go on, but I think that'd more than wipe out 500 bucks.
I would love to invest the money into our kitchen!
I am planning on doing a mini kitchen remodel including painting my kitchen cabinets and a tile back slpash. Not sure yet what to do about my mauve countertops. Paint them maybe?
Planning on doing a mini kitchen upgrade.
I really need a gc! We just bought a house and the mud room neats some storage solutions!
A bathroom redo for the second floor, where the seventies went to die.
Thanks for the chance at winning!

I would get a new light fixture for my dining room, new floor in my laundry room, and some kind of organizational shelving for the mud room.
Let's see, I would buy a new vanity to update my bathroom and paint. Or, something boring like shades for all my windows. Or wood to build a new kitchen table. The options are limitless!
Love Home Depot! We need new shelving units in our closets in the worst way!!!
Extra bookcases and closet shelving units to redesign my office space into an infant's room. I have to transform my office into the existing closet space and leave the rest of the room for the babe due in October!!!

More paint (just painted a wall in the dining area) and maybe some plants. And some lamp kits to rewire some lamps. Thanks!
Oh! We're in a major remodel of our 1927 craftsman and are at Home Depot every day! $500 would be amazing!
I would use a Home Depot gift card to help out with our basement reno!
Our bathroom sink just died….and the mismatched floor tile makes me cringe. We would use the money towards a much needed renovation!
Kitchen cabinet makeover!
We're moving in a couple weeks, and this would be WONDERFUL! For things like paint, curtain rods, houseplants, etc.

I would tie up some serious loose ends!
sorry 3rd time trying to do this.
I would tie up some serious loose ends!
I would totally use it to finish painting our house!…. Three years after we moved in. :) And maybe get a dishwasher that's not a shade of green.
There are so many projects that need my attention, but I think I'd put the $500 towards updating some of the light fixtures in our kitchen!
I'm currently working on my 7 year old daughter's bedroom. I'd love a $500 Home Depot gift card to finish this room! I'm really excited to try my hand at making a tufted upholstered headboard like the project you blogged about. I've also been eyeing some gorgeous rugs at Home Depot for our entry area and hall. Honestly, I could think of a million projects where I could spent $500 at Home Depot…or more! Sometimes I spend my lunch hour at Home Depot just to get inspired or daydream.
Our laundry room doesn't have windows, so I would love to replace the fluorescent light box with recessed lighting and then paint the walls to brighten the space. I have grass green storage containers in there so it would be fun to add more accessories to play on the color scheme.
Trying to make my new cheap apartment look great on a budget! This place needs a lot of love and there are plenty of DIY projects that I'm copying off your blog. First up…buying a lot of paint to help with all my craigslist finds!
I would use it to paint several rooms in my apartment- dining room, bathroom, and guest room! $500 would go a long way!
New dryer, update lighting and paint floors!
