To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)

  1. I would put the gift card towards a new bathroom vanity, flooring and light fixtures. Our family bathroom has original vinyl tiles- yikes!

  2. I can think of so many things to do! A kitchen facelift, some basement finishing, making the yard more fun for the kids…I can't decide!

  3. We are moving in the next few weeks into what will surely be a big fixer upper! $500 would make a great start!

  4. I would get new window blinds for my living room and maybe head to the garden section to pick up some pots for my back patio!

  5. With $500 from Home Depot I would keep buying paint for the updates we are doing on our house and wood to make entryway "cubbies" out of a closet n our laundry room.

  6. First I want to share how much I like your blog. You have some really great ideas. I look forward to reading it. If I won the gift card, I would spend it on organization. I really want o to get some closet organization kits.

  7. We need some organization/shelves in our laundry area. Plus, we need to repaint all the trim in the house. The subcontractor thinned it too much, and now it's all flaking off. Lovely!

  8. This is perfect timing seeing as I just had my offer accepted to buy my very first house. I am completely head over heels in love with it but it does need a bit of TLC (ahem, understatement). This would be amazing!

  9. Having just moved into a 1971 house with very little updating, there's no end to the projects I could use $500 for! But I might start with a little landscaping to ensure the neighbors that we mean to do well by our new little house!

  10. $500 to Home Depot would allow me to re-do my foyer sooner rather than later…some Behr paint, new door hardware for the doors, new moulding, and maybe even a new system for the coat closet – woo hoo!

  11. Just bought a little house that needs some love so we'll have plenty of opportunity to use this! Hopefully starting with a new bathroom floor!

  13. We're expecting our first baby in March, and we've got TONS of projects that need to be finished before the small fry arrives, so a gift card would definitely be put to good use!
Love the faux bois, btw. Looks great!

  14. So many things I could do with $500 from Home Depot. Right now it's a toss up between building a pergola and doing a budget redo of my own laundry room. After seeing all these inspirational ideas, I think the laundry room is winning.

  15. I am obsessed with your blog, I try all the things you do and add little twists to them! Im such a diy-er and would die for a $500 Gift card!! I live at Homie D's!! It's almost better than shopping for clothes :) I would build a whole "mud room" area in my laundry room, complete with built in bench, wainscoting, hooks, and shelving!! And a rad new light fixture? Your Modern Brass one you posted that im dying to try next!! OR I would go big in my master bath with the tile for the shower and a new center light fixture over the tub! I look forward to your posts!

Thanks and have a BoMb Diggity Day!!

  16. How to choose? We are knee (neck) deep in several projects on our new home. I would probably use the Home Depot gift card to finish up our daughters bathroom with a new vanity and lighting.

  17. I would use it to buy the supplies, and maybe even the tile, to tile my kitchen backsplash. I want the classic, simple white subway tile.
