To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. I would use it to make our basement family room into an awesome playroom with chalkboard walls, toy bins, and a craft center.

  2. We would use it to replace our back door – currently the window opening is covered in plywood. And add a screen door for easier use of the back yard in the summer time.

  3. I am actually working on a laundry room redesign right now also. We need 2 full walls of cabinetry plus a third wall to function as a mudroom. Of course, if there's any money leftover, I have a whole house that needs work!

  4. So much I could do! I would probably regrade the back and front yard and then do landscaping–thinking stone walls and a New England style garden…

  5. It would be AMAZING to win a gift card to Home Depot! I would get supplies to paint my house!!

  6. Its back to school time and all I can think about is how uninspiring my kids rooms/desks are. With $500 from Home Depot I would create storage, reading nooks and a place to inspire creativity and learning!

  7. I love all the Arizona house projects you have been posting! I was just at Home Depot dreaming about all the projects I wanted to do. $500 would sure help me finish many of them…including painting my office desk, updating and fixing several light fixtures in our home that have died, and buying a few trees to shade our hot Arizona backyard.

  8. A couple of months ago I moved into an old victorian home I have so many projects to do. The $500 would go towards a bathroom renovations for my daughters.

  9. I have so many things to update I don't even know where to begin! But I'd probably use it to update my laundry room since the prize money would cover the entire thing!

  10. We are just getting ready to update the little sunroom on our 40s cape cod style house. I think $500 would just about do it :) Thanks!

  11. I would put $500 towards a new refrigerator, a side by side, where you could actually open the doors all the way in the crazy-tight space for the fridge!

  12. Having an apartment means I don't have that much control over the physical space- but I always love doing projects with my thrifted furniture to make them really feel like they're mine!

  13. I would love this. We are just about to get married and are broke as a joke… our laundry room looks like a meth lab and would LOVE to get some oomph from the depot.

  15. My laundry room needs a make over asap. I spend so much time in there now that I've had a baby (how they create so much laundry is beyond me!).

  16. I am such a fan….your blog is the one I have been reading almost every day this year, and believe me….I have read a lot of blogs! (I have had one myself for over 7 years now!)

I love the ideas you come up with, and it just so happens I need a laundry room desperately! We remodeled our house years ago with the intent of putting in a laundry room…but it became a storage closet when we lost steam after a bad contractor experience. I would love to finally get it done! And your blog inspires me to get going. :)

  17. I would run to Home Depot and freak out! I would buy a new light fixture for my entryway. Then I would grab some new hardware for the kitchen cabinets. I would grab some tile for my little outdated bathroom floor and some bright paint. The dining room would get a fresh coat of paint. I have been eyeing this beautiful green by West Elm , derby, and it would be wildly perfect. At this point if I still had anything left I would buy a couple cans of safety red and spray paint some end tables for the living room.

  18. I would use the $500 to help my sister remodel her outdated home and give her a bright spot to come home to every day!

  19. I have so many little projects that I need to get started on but I would totally slap a new coat of paint on my laundry room walls and install board and batten in the kiddos bathroom

  20. I am at the start of a laundry room update. I've already ordered the stack kit for my washer and dryer but want to add a utility sink, shelving and a folding table!

  21. I love home depots, yesterday i pick up some paint for finishing my restroom, in grey and one guy give me his ten percent coupon, i am feeling like a queen…..

  22. Oh goodness- I would definitely buy some lighting fixtures and other goodies that I could bring along to a home after our apartment rental!

  23. I would love to win the $500 Home Depot gift card. We are buying a home & we have many projects to do. We would probably use it for a fireplace makeover since winter is coming & it needs a screen & new mantle.
