In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!

To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

Thanks to The Home Depot and P&G for sponsoring this post series. And thank you for supporting the companies that collaborate with me on LGN posts. :)

  1. We are in the process of finishing our new wood floors in our living/dining rooms and kitchen, so I will be needing to tackle the builder grade kitchen cabinets next. They will look terrible once that gorgeous new floor is in ;)

  2. I would use a gift card to finish our master bath! We did tile and fixtures for the shower, bath and floor, but we need to update the vanity! It currently has ugly counters, brass fixtures and almond colored sinks.

  3. Re-design for entryway and landing at the bottom of our stairs, and a fresh coat of paint and backsplash in the kitchen!

  4. Wow, if I won $500 from Home Depot I would put it towards a new tile floor in my small guest bathroom. The current faux-marble vinyl is just not cutting it!!

  5. I'd probably use the $500 @ Home Depot to fund a dining table! I've always wanted to build one from scratch. Or maybe put it towards our outdoor space — spruce it up some :)

  6. Well we just bought a new house so I could probably think of 5,973 projects I could use that money for. :) But since my hubby has been working so so hard on our backyard landscaping, I think I would gift this to him so he could get a new tool for a fun project of his choosing. :)

  7. I would put this toward a back porch/mudroom makeover…it's one place that still looks pretty desperate in our home and it's also what people see first when entering the house…

  8. Definitely some replacement light fixtures to replace the remaining 70's fixtures in my new place. Lumber to build things. Maybe a fancy saw. Fun houseplants to replace the ones I've accidentally killed. And probably some candy at the checkout.

  9. What a great giveaway! I have so many projects I could use this for, but the next room in our house we've decided to tackle is our office. We plan on casing the window, new crown, new baseboards and doing some sort of board and batten or wainscotting treatment on the walls.

  10. I would love to update our front door and shutters with fresh paint that is not faded! Also add new numbers to the doors. Ahh maybe one of those number pad entries to the door if there was leftover moo-lah…

  12. I live in a 650 sq foot apartment that needs a little revamping in the kitchen and in my storage space. A new light fixture in my dining room would be great. $500 would do the trick!

  13. what a great giveaway! if i won, i'd use the money to fund a "beautification" of our sadly un-used balcony by purchasing a bench, planters and sun blinds. fingers crossed! — love your blog, by the way, just found it a few months ago.

  14. Can't decide if we'd update our many outdated light fixtures, or focus on our needed master bath redo… or maybe landscaping… So much to do around here! :)

  15. $500 to HD? It would be put toward new countertops! We've been saving and that would push us that much closer to our goal!

  16. where to start? i would work on updating my fiance's bachelor pad with paint for the bedrooms and kitchen cabinets, wooden blinds, that concrete finish for laminate counters you did (love!), and new hardware around the house!

  17. 'Love the faux bois treatment, reminds me of a wall in There's Something iding In Here's bathroom.

Anyways, I would use the $500 to paint the kitchen (I'm thinking Grand Mackinac Island blue to go with my red Kitchen Aid appliances) and then replace the cracked fluorescent light fixture in the kitchen as well.
