To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. Definitely pretty light fixtures and organization for our nursery! Little guy is 11 weeks old and his nursery is still a box mountain. :(

  2. I would finish my patio makeover and finally buy the household items we've been saving up for, like a nice stainless steel trash can.

  3. Would love to win this. We are moving into a new home next month and needs lots of work! This would be a real blessing and we could put it toward the flooring, counters, paint, and all the other things the house needs to be fixed. casidyanne at hot mail dot com

  4. I actually have to fix my laundry/pantry as recent damage. Would looooove a Home Depot card to fix it up just right! Thanks!

  6. We just bought our "fixer upper" house in January and have drained our bank account and maxed out our HD card and have had to open a Lowe's card as well! We still have to get new flooring for the entire lower level of our 2000 sq ft home (YIKES!!), and also most of the first level! We want to paint the front door, refinish our front deck and build a large patio in the back… oh, and also the small patio needs stairs to the ground in the back yard! Also, I have to paint the lower level family room (including the black spray painted trim!)!! I guess only a couple of these things could be done, but every penny helps!! Thanks Jenny!!

  7. $500 from Home Depot could go a long ways towards replacing my husband's power tools that got stolen out of our backyard, so he can finish the myriad of projects around our house!

  8. I'd put it towards redoing our mudroom which recently was stripped down to the cinder block walls due to a water/mold problem!

  9. Awesome! I'm majorly downsizing this year to save money to buy my own house. Which means, we are moving into a 1 bedroom apt with no storage. Although, it does have this great wall that I plan on building/creating a storage solution for. $500 would go such a long way!

  11. OH MAN, what projects couldn't i use a 500$ gift card on?! I think we would use it towards a new patio in our currently unusable backyard!

  12. Goodness we still have so many projects for our new home! I'd say either materials for the board and batten I'm dreaming of in our living room or white subway tile for a kitchen backsplash! Ahhh I'll be crossing my fingers!

  13. Hi Jenny,
My husband and I are working on completing a DIY outdoor kitchen. I used the Ardex product on the countertops! This gift card would certainly come in handy with this project. It's a joy to do projects like this, but it can get expensive!!

  14. Oh boy oh Boy! I would probably use the gift card on a new washer and dryer set! Perhaps not the most exciting, but I know they'd get a ton of use!

  15. We are slowly updating our rental and giving old furniture a face lift. I would totally buy spray paint, paint supplies and some light fixtures for our dining room and patio.

  16. paint paint paint and more paint! i have been inspired by the huge transformation paint can make in a room by your blog. currently at the top of my to-do list: paint my piano purple and paint an old dresser with great lines but ugly PINK stain!

  17. We are purchasing a home that needs a lot of TLC. I would probably use the $500 gift card towards paint and caulk for the exterior of our home.

  18. I'd love to build radiator covers! We live in a very old house, with radiators, I think they'd be so cute and more practical than these big silver pipes!

  19. I'd do diy wainscoting on the dining room, buy a new bedroom door and paint it lacquered green, and start with a diy paint kit on the kitchen countertops.
