To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. I would buy some of the awesome tools (drill/saw/staple gun etc…) you mention in your blog posts so I can create DIY projects all over our new (first) home!

  2. I just bought my first house. So I would likely paint some of the rooms in the house. The previous owners did an awesome job repainting the house. Unforturnately, the kitchen is a green army color, and that's definitely not my style! haha.

  3. Thank you for this opportunity! We have ripped out most of the baseboards in our home (while tearing out old carpet) and would love to use the $500 to purchase new ones!

  4. I'd build some custom furniture for our new house, and hopefully quell my husband's anxiety each time I say I'm going to the hardware store when I'm armed with a $500 gift card!

  5. If I won the $500 gift card, I would likely purchase new ceiling fans for our living room and office (both have a very "country" vibe which doesn't fit with the feel of our home) and if there is anything left over, some dark navy paint for the spare bedroom!

  7. I am inspired by your laundry room. Since I spend so much time in there, I would definitely use the money to make it a beautiful space! Since it would be our first DIY project, I would then be energized to tackle other rooms!

  8. I am torn between using it towards new counters in my kitchen or a new retaining wall for the landscaping. Either way, it would go towards an awesome improvement for our house.

  9. I'd love to win this gift card! We are converting our tiny attic into finished living space and this would come in VERY handy!

  10. If I won, I will use the money towards installing some lighting in the hallway and dining area. I also need to install open shelving in my home office and garage.

    Thanks for hosting the give-away

  11. We are in the process of finishing our basement (laundry room and bathroom included). The gift card would be so helpful in finishing this project.

  12. Since we just bought our new home, a good portion of it would go towards paint! Then onto cabinets in my laundry room. We have standard builder grade light fixtures, which I must change to fight our personality!

  13. Painting the rest of our house! The previous owners never painted over the flat wall paint so until we moved in the inside of our house hadn't seen new paint since it was built in '06. I'd love to finish painting the walls, trim and doors and frame out all our windows!

  14. While my sweet husband is supporting me through graduate school, I would love for him to have the chance to splurge on a great project for our home with this prize!

  16. With that $500 gift card I would probably attempt to pull off my own, not-quite-as-good-as-yours laundry room renovation! Mine is more like a closet in desperate need of some help and TLC. Keeping my fingers crossed! ;-)

  17. I just bought a house so I don't even know where to begin! Probably paint, since we plan to paint almost all of the rooms. :)

  18. Oh my, where to begin…I could use tofinish up my daughter's playhouse, our backyard pergola, our upstairs bathroom, or the kitchen. So many projects, so little time and money!

  19. I would love to get a new paint sprayer and some righteous new hardware for all my cabinets that I would then be painting in my kitchen AND laundry area! Some new light fixtures and flooring for these areas would be the icing on the cake.

  20. Oh my goodness I would get an air compressor and a spray paint everything in site! esecially our old crummy bedroom furniture that have sentimental value.

  21. My husband and I were looking at images of white kitchen cabinets all weekend. We would use the $500 gift card for this project! You've inspired me, I know we can do this!

  22. Paint, paint, and more paint. Plus shelving for either side of our living room window. I need to make better use of our high ceilings by moving the storage up off the floor and onto the walls.

  24. Do I have to pick just one project? I want to do built-in book shelves on each side of our faux fireplace or some bookshelves in the hallway upstairs.

  25. I would use it to update our bar area, I'm hoping to try your DIY concrete counter top idea along with updating with a new sink
