To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. If I got received a $500 Gift Card it would definitely go towards creating a space for my little lady. She turning 5 soon and is definitely opinionated when it comes to what we buy for her room and play area. It would be a mix of girly, classic, with DIY.

  3. With a $500 gift card to Home Depot I would buy brick to re-do our fireplace, tile to re-tile our guest bathroom, and materials to build a wall to make our third bedroom a reality!

  4. I'm inspired by your laundry room transformation and I think I would use the $$ to update mine! It is a small space, but we use it as a walk-through between our kitchen and main living space — it should be pretty instead of beige and disorganized.

  5. I recently discovered your blog and find it so incredibly inspiring! We are in the process of buying our first home and a $500 gift certificate would spruce up our new laundry area in so many ways! First, I'd hang shelving above the (soon-to-be-purchased) washer and dryer for all of our laundry supplies and then I'd hang curtains in front of the area to keep it from looking cluttered! Our bathroom shares the space with the laundry, so out-of-sight-out-of-mind is the way to go! Can't wait to see more posts about the Valley house, it's already looking amazing!

  6. Oh, this would be amazing! We just bought a historic home that needs a ton of work. With this giftcard I could buy a little vanity and new toilet to update a tiny powder room, that is currently pretty yucky. Wow, would my family and our guests be grateful. :)

  7. THIS WOULD BE AMAZING. I would buy an electric sander for sure. Plus any other little thing my heart desires. PLEASE PICK ME!!!

  8. If I won a $500 gift card to Home Depot, I would purchase a few things to complete my one room apartment… new bamboo blinds and possibly make curtains from drop cloth :)

  9. We just bought a house and I'm eager to rip out the ugly brown tile back splash in the kitchen. We're torn between replacing it with basic subway tile or matte copper….

  10. It's a toss-up between adding the $500 to our new windows fund and using it for new outdoor light fixtures. Maybe I would put $250 towards each!

  11. My husband and I just bought our first house! The dirt ground that is currently our backyard needs some serious help! I would love to win this and be able to put in some gravel, grass and a little hangout/eating area!

  12. I would re-vamp my guest bedroom/office/craft room and turn it into a much more functional space to meet my many needs in that small space.

  14. Home Depot is my go to home improvement store! I live in a Chicago "Garden Apartment" i.e. a basement. I find myself at Home Depot every weekend trying to make my place look like home. So far I've painted all the walls and trim, added a backsplash, painted the cabinets in the kitchen and replaced all the light fixtures. Next on my list? To add peel-and-stick new vinyl to the kitchen floors and concrete over my laminate countertops! Your blog is amazing, I read it everyday, I love how you don't underestimate your reader. We can do it!

  15. Power Tools! I need a good paint sprayer, for one thing. Our craftsman home needs a few replacement windows. Andersen, is our choice, which Home Depot carries. $500 is a start!

  16. Since I convinced my husband that our half bath needs to be the next project on the list saying 'if I can do it for $500, is it a go?' So this is exactly what I would use the $500 for, sink, mirror, tile and wallpaper…
