To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. My new house has SO many projects it would be hard to choose! I think I need to buy some wood to build a new bed in the master and some dining room chairs!

  2. What a fabulous giveaway…thanks for hosting! We're in the midst of updating our kitchen – removing wallpaper, painting, tiling, updating lighting and other aesthetic things so I'd use the gift card there!

  3. With a $500 gift card, I'd do a mini-makeover in my bedroom: paint, closet organization and new closet doors. If there was anything left over, I'd buy some outdoor picker-uppers. Our patio desperately needs some TLC.

  4. Since we recently has a fire that destroyed everything in my garage including my Christmas trees and decorations. I would probably use the money to replace some of those those things.

  5. I would use it for lots of different projects – paint, maybe supplies to try my hand at a planked wall, some new light fixtures….

  6. What a great contest! Love Home Depot, and my family always used Tide for as long as I can remember. :)
With the gift card money, I would probably buy paint for our kitchen and family room, along with a paint sprayer and orbital sander. Then it would require some serious debating over what else comes next!
I love the idea of a melamine counter over the washer/dryer, but am not sure how to install one correctly. And we need cabinets like yours in the laundry room too!

  7. We need a kitchen backsplash, I'd love to do either penny tile or a marble slab. I'd love your input on which one to do!

  8. I just bought my first home, so I would use the $500 gift card for a lot of things! The kitchen is going to need some love; paint on the cabinets, and new countertops to start?

  9. With this gift card I would buy paint so that we could spray our entire basement, walls and ceiling. It is 1,200 sq ft of paneling and I am not looking forward to painting it with a roller. Sprayer for the win!

  10. What awesome giveaways! I'm trying to rehab some stairs right now, and even 5 dollars would help, haha! Hope I win!

  11. Thank you for the giveaway! With $500 from Home Depot, I would use it to give the nursery we plan to build in our open plan NYC apartment some real charm. Our place is the old ballroom of a townhouse, so it has amazing molding, bay windows, and built ins. We are going to carve a corner out for our first born expected in February, and it would be so cool to be able to justify adding cool flourishes like molding to make the cozy space feel like it's part of the original plan.

  12. Our renters are moving out and we want to sell the house now, so a $500 gift card would go a long way in updating the house and making it sell-worthy.

  13. We'v gutted our upstairs bathroom, so $500 would go a long way to covering new fixtures and lights. Or making our tiny little laundry room a bit more practical with regards to storage. I'd love to enter the $5000 giveaway thingma, but our laundry room is so small I don't really think you could spend all of it if you tried.

  14. If I got received a $500 Gift Card it would definitely go towards creating a space for my little lady. She turning 5 soon and is definitely opinionated when it comes to what we buy for her room and play area. It would be a mix of girly, classic, with DIY.
