In celebration of the laundry room makeover contest, The Home Depot is giving you a second chance to win something special today – a $500 gift card!

To enter to win the $500 gift card to The Home Depot (which will arrive with a great box of samples from Tide), just leave a comment on this post. I’d love to hear what projects you’d fund with the gift card. I actually picked up some supplies there this weekend and did a little faux bois treatment to my laundry folding station. I’m working on the tutorial photos now, so look for that post tomorrow probably.

  1. There are so many things I'd like to update, so a good portion would probably go towards paint. I'm not sure what I'd do with the rest, but there's always something to buy at HD.
Thank you HD for the giveaway!

  2. I would use this great giveaway for supplies to pull together the nursery for our soon to be new family member! Paint, shelving, lighting – we need to do it all.

  3. With $500 from Home Depot I would update our bedroom. It is currently a hodge-podge of hand me downs, which I love, but it is the final room in our apartment that we haven't been able to make feel like home.

  4. That giftcard would definitely go for paint for our house and little things to finish off our bedrooms – ie. decals for the girls' rooms and storage. And, our laundry room where it really needs some help…

  5. I would love to win this! we are planning to do a backyard project soon that includes building a shed and the $500 would probably go to that! We also have quite a list of other projects we want to do..so it could go to any of them ;)

  6. Oh goodness! How fun! We would like to replace the flooring in our living room! It's in such dire need of replacement! What a fun give away. Thank you!

  7. There's so much that needs to be done with my house that trying to figure out what to spend it on would turn into just another chore. Good thing you've made it easy… I'd like to do something with my tiny little triangle-shaped laundry room. It's difficult to look at what you've done with your laundry room and NOT want to paint over the soap splattered walls and put in nice white cabinets (my husband keeps knocking down the bottle of detergent off the shelf and one of those times it ended up all over the walls).

  8. Such a great giveaway! My fiance and I are doing our first big home project together – remodeling the kitchen! So this $500 could go a long way!

  11. Man, what wouldn't I do with the extra 500? Well, I would start by painting the concrete floor nice glossy white and then drywall the wall and ceilings so I can have a more presentable laundry room. I do think it would be nice to have a nice laundry folding/storage table. Nothing fancy, but definitely something bright and colorful.

  12. I am currently in the planning process of turning our guest room into a nursery! I would use the gift card for paint/supplies, a new ceiling fan, fixtures, and shelving!

  13. I am currently doing a 'mini re-do' in our only upstairs bath– so this would pay for paint, some wood to fix our board & batten, some caulk and maybe some sort of new flooring that I haven't even been considering because of the money!

  14. A $500 Home Depot Gift Card would ease the stress of being a single mom in a fixer upper. I'm doing this renovation, one small step at a time with help from my friends and $500 is enough to finish several rooms!

  15. With $500 dollars, I would first get the exterior door in my laundry room fixed so it didn't leak crazy amounts of water when it rains. It's quite scary. Comes through the door frame. Then, I would spend the rest toward updating my kitchen counters!

  16. I'm an interior design too so if I won a $500 HD giftcard, I would renovate and redesign our 1950's bathrooms in our rancher! We have a pink, purple, and brown one…thank you, Jenny!

  17. Oh boy the $500 gift card from Home Depot is calling my name! We are in need of a new dishwasher. Not really the fun things I would like to spend it on, but man a good dishwasher makes life so much easier, and therefore makes me happy! =)And what a fun sneak peak we got at the faux bois folding station!

  18. I live in an apartment so I can't enter the big give away, but I have a couple of projects I could use the $500 for. A little shelving area in the kitchen and a coat hanging place in the entry as well as supplies to redo/cover and french bergere chair.

  19. With a studio apartment, I would be able to do almost EVERYTHING I wanted to do with $500 – bookshelves, lighting, painting, redoing some furniture.

  20. I just got back from visiting my in-laws in Haiti and I have a lot of home improvements I'd love to help them implement to simplify their lives. It's already going to cost $$ to get the stuff there, so if I could get the "stuff" for free? Awesome.

Also, your faux bois looks amazing. You are blowing my mind with this remodel. xox

  21. I would put it towards new grass in the backyard! I would love to have a big grassy area for my daughter to have a playset on. Right now it's all rocks. Boo…
