This week’s giveaway is near and dear to my heart. Fellow Brooklynite and very talented jewelry maker, Page Sargisson is giving away a $500 gift certificate! Her beautiful work can be found at ABC Home and Sundance and boutiques around the world, as well as her lovely online shop.

Page makes all of her jewelry by hand in recycled gold, using impressions, images and patterns from found and borrowed objects that all have a really lovely sense of history. She uses this vintage printing press block to make all of her calendar charms.

Page’s jewelry studio is right by me in Brooklyn Heights, so I popped over recently to say hi. It was so fun to see all of the vintage pieces she uses to make her jewelry. She often uses wooden stamps she bought on her travels to India.

I completely fell in love with these gold earrings that Page made using the pattern on an antique carved plate that belonged to her grandparents.

See how she used the carved trees to make the sunburst pattern on the earrings?

I have one of Page’s signature calendar charm necklaces and I can say it is honestly one of my favorite pieces of jewelry. The first day I wore the necklace I got asked about a dozen times where it was from, which made me feel like a million bucks. I wear it almost every day now.

My calendar charm is gold and silver with a diamond marking the 9th of January, which is my wedding anniversary. I paired the charm with my grandmother’s gold chain, so it feels extra sentimental. I love, love, love it.

  1. I love the calendar charms! My Mom and Dad just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in December 2012 and I know my Mom would love and wear this charm. It would be a special present!

  2. What beautiful jewelry! The calendar charm necklaces are awesome, so unique! I also love the gold sweet pea earrings and the gold violet necklace, they are so pretty and delicate!

  3. SUBSCRIBED!! To a totally new obsession with Page Sargisson and her vision of creating unique and meaningful pieces of jewelry!! LOVE the Gold/Silver Calendar charm w/Diamond stud (already added to my "hints" list for my husband) and the Zodiac Collection is gorgeous!! I'm a cancer and the constellation design is breathtaking–a MUST HAVE!! I live in DC, but I also think the Brooklyn collection with the asymmetrical bar necklace, cuff, and ring is fabulously creative and unique. Lastly, the Sofie Loveknot is just so beautiful in its simplicty–I already want to wear that with just a simple white crisp shirt for spring! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE PAGE SARGISSON!!

THANKS Jenny for the great find as usual!

  4. I've been looking for a petite necklace to wear everyday and the Sofie Loveknot would be the perfect fit. I also like the mens rings- my husband lost his wedding ring in a river over the summer and we've been looking for a replacement ever since. Such beautiful pieces.

  5. I love the Large Feather Necklace, and the Zinia Necklace. Would also love the Classic Circle Ring — if it came in a larger size for my man hands.

  6. Subscribed! I honestly can't even see anything on Paige's site other than those calendar charms. I'm OBSESSED! I'm getting married next year, and I'd love to get my wedding date as a calendar charm. Such a special way to commemorate!

  7. I'm subscribed to the list. Lots of lovely pieces, but I think I'd have to go with a calendar charm to celebrate the recent birth of my son!

  8. Just subscribed and oh my– I LOVE all of it. My favorite is the calender charm. Such a special piece that could be passed down through generations. Thank you for sharing with us!

  9. Thanks for recommending Paige's page and jewelry! I'm now a happy subscriber to her email list.
I found three pieces to be particularly lovely and am going to get them some way or another! They are all necklaces: Tulips (medium); Sofie love knot; and Nora Vigne. Good luck to all!

  10. I love the playful unicorn in your post and the sweet pea necklace on her site!

I also love your smokin' red lipstick!

  11. Beautiful work! My first choice would be the Violet necklace in sterling silver with a diamond, but I made up that combination haha. Also, the Astrid multi-charm in silver, the Bacione in silver or the Tesoro in silver. The blue topaz charm in silver would also be amazing paired with one of the necklaces. Can you tell I'm a silver necklace person?! (Though I'd never turn down gold!). bungalow000@yahoo.com

  12. Love, love her jewelry – I believe I discovered her back in college and can spot her work a mile away :), it's stunning! I would love a letter or calendar charm!

  13. I subscribed to Paige's page and then spent an hour coveting every piece on her site! I would get the initial necklace with blue sapphires as I have been searching for the perfect monogrammed pendant forever.
