I found some really pretty solid brass nail head trim at my local Mom and Pop hardware store. It came in two different sizes, which was exciting! I can’t wait to play around with some designs for a DIY project I’m working on. Here are a couple of inspiration images:

Oh nailheads… I love you! I recently did a project where I upholstered the top of a desk and added nailheads to the edge. A piece of glass completes the look.

I love the look of nailhead on headboards. I recently DIY'd a velvet covered headboard with every intention of doing nailhead detail on it, but my husband has veto'd the idea…for now:) If only he could see the beauty!

I have been seeing nailhead/studded trims everywhere lately, and I love them more with each photo I see!! they have that mix of vintage and modern, elegant and edgy that I just love.
Am totally impressed with anyone who can master fancy patterns with nail head. I did a straight line and it was HARD!
That grasscloth headboard with nailhead trim had me weak in the knees! I loved it all! And honestly, I just want to follow you around for a day in NYC because you always end up with the coolest stuff!

I love nailhead trim…I recently used it on a head board I DIY'd for our master bedroom. It's similar to the one pictured. I for sure would like to try it on a wood project though!

nailheads are my favorite – great post! I am really inspired by the cream pink board above the desk. I have been thinking about creating an inspiration board myself – what a great unique way to do it. I might have to give that a try!
I'm planning a version of the bulletin board with nail head trim for my office when I finally get that far. Still looking for a good source for the nail heads though!
