Experimenting with Nailhead Trim Patterns

I found some really pretty solid brass nail head trim at my local Mom and Pop hardware store. It came in two different sizes, which was exciting! I can’t wait to play around with some designs for a DIY project I’m working on. Here are a couple of inspiration images: via Design Manifest Cool DIY…

So many possibilities! I really love how textural the nailhead can look. For me, great decorating is all about these kinds of details.

  1. That grasscloth headboard with nailhead trim had me weak in the knees! I loved it all! And honestly, I just want to follow you around for a day in NYC because you always end up with the coolest stuff!

On a side note, I would love help getting the word out on a blog give away I have right now: https://courtneyoutloud.wordpress.com/2012/01/11/pier-1-imports-gift-card-give-away/ Appreciate the support and help!

I am excited to see how your mind gets cranking and what awesome thing will be produced from the trim!

  2. Thanks for the inspiration — I've been puzzling for over a year as to what to do with a plain little set of drawers I have and this is PERFECT! And I have a Living Social deal for my local Ace — have to see if they have nailheads.

  3. Jenny, SO glad you posted about nailhead embellishing…was just on Pinterest today to get some ideas. I want to add nailheads to a bookcase and these are great inspirations! Thanks:)

  4. nailheads are my favorite – great post! I am really inspired by the cream pink board above the desk. I have been thinking about creating an inspiration board myself – what a great unique way to do it. I might have to give that a try!
