Someone Check My Math…

Does $12.99 IKEA…+ $5 of nailhead trim… + Stack of coffee table books underneath (to make up for the missing tray shelf) … = $400 Horchow?{Is it even close enough to make a comparison? I know I’m missing the crocodile, but I think it could still be DIY chic…}

  1. Hilarious, Jennica! I think it would definitely give it a run for its money! You and your great eye! I hope that someone in the industry picks up this blog posting because it is so dead-on. Unfortunately, the IKEA table is just like one I picked up at Target early this fall, and the stability isn’t great – do you know any tricks for stabilizing cheapo furniture to make it toddler-impervious?

  2. I found your blog from this month's BHG. LOVE the idea and I already bought my Lack side table. I can't seem to find that amount of nailhead trim for $5 though. Have prices just gone up since you wrote the post? At the Beacon site, I have to buy a full 10 yards and shipping is atrocious. Just wondering if you have any other options.
