I plan to go to Pier 1 ASAP to check out the quality of this possibly-gorgeous canopy bed.
BTW, have you checked out the Pier 1 website lately? Not too shabby, I tell ya. I predict that Pier 1 becomes the J. Crew of interiors stores: Used to be lame, but is getting its act together in a major way.

Just looking through some past posts and went to Pier 1 today and saw this bed on sale for $699. What do you think after checking it out?
I just came upon this page, but we have the white canopy bed from Pier 1 in a king size and I'm telling you I couldn't be happier with it. It is super sturdy and well built. The slats underneath each have multiple posts so the slats will never break. Makes storing things under the bed impossible, but I'd prefer that to it breaking when my kids jump on it!
