Hi guys! – Just a quick update for the locals planning to come to the Home Depot DIY Workshop tomorrow. I wanted to clarify that we won’t be making the lighting DIY I shared last week, although I’d be more than happy to help you find and even make the structure tomorrow at the Tempe store on Baseline. The lighting workshop, which starts at 10:00 am, will be lead by the store’s DIY workshop leader and I’ll just be there to talk a little bit and mostly just hang out with you all!

My girls are getting a little older now (my oldest is eight) and while I really miss having babies around, I am having so much FUN with my kids! Every holiday is a million times more exciting. We are in full Valentines mode this week (only handmade cards in this house!) and I love seeing their little creative sides come out. They made me this bouquet from flowers and plants they clipped in our yard a few days ago and I was so proud of the arrangement!

I was so happy when Amber emailed me a month or two ago to introduce herself. I LOVE her style and her blog is quickly becoming a favorite.

Look at Amber’s last great project. She went outside and took photos of pretty clouds and had one of the images blown up for $30.

She framed the image in a large IKEA Ribba (no mat here, which is key to making it look like expensive modern art).

The Brunschwig and Fils snow leopard pattern ‘Les Touches’ is a favorite in the design blog world (I recently posted some cheaper substitute fabrics here). I get all kinds of emails asking if I had any remnants of this pattern to sell at a discounted price, which sadly I don’t. Here’s a solution for you if you love Les Touches, but can’t afford the price tag.

Emily sent me an email about her dining chairs that she bought on Craigslist and reupholstered in an inexpensive white vinyl fabric from Joanns.
