So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. Wow! What a cool giveaway! I'd probably start with the 'wet paint' feature to recreate some favorite family photos. Then, I would move on to some abstracts.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  2. I would use it for everything, especially the wet paint function. I love that there is no mess, which is what usually deters me from painting in the first place.

  3. would love to take it to my classroom to see what lovely ideas the kiddies could come up with. being a prepared teacher that i am, i would love to practice a nice abstract.

  4. Oh, I think this looks like so much fun! Would love to try some abstracts. What a great way to create affordable art.

  5. I was really inspired by the portrait you painted from a picture. I'd love to try this with pictures of my own family. Hoping that this giveaway is open to international (Canada) entries : ).

  6. I'd love to try importing photos, I think taking some silly photo of my daughter or pets and turning them into bright funky abstracts would be terribly fun!

  7. Maybe this is cheesy, but I would definitely be uploading some pics of my fur-baby Harry, and transforming them into my own custom pet portrait. I would love to start a Harry Gallery. Our house would = the new Barnes.

  8. This looks like so much fun! I would have no excuse to avoid getting back into painting, as there isn't the hassle with cleaning up, etc.

  9. would love to work with some vintage photos and postcards which we've collected of our home towns.

  10. I would love to import a photo of a place that is meaningful to us as a family and try out that wet paint feature! Love the idea of sharing it as a gift as well.

  11. I would love to create some pet portraits of my beloved pets, past and present. My lil' one would have fun with this app as well. She loves to draw and paint more that play with her toys.

  12. Jenny! What an amazing giveaway! I was so inspired by your painting of your Grandma Johnson. My favorite photos ever is of my granny and granddad on their wedding day in 1945, right after WWII. I would love to try the wet paint app and recreate it as I already look at it everyday. Fingers crossed! XOXO, H

  13. I saw the new watercolor paint feature they were working on and it looked awesome. I would love to try that without the mess of real watercolors.

  14. OMG! I missed yesterday's post, but how very awesome!
I would use this app for just about anything – I have been putting together the "ancestor corner" digging up old photos from both sides of the family, but having old photos done up as paintings would be even better! What a great idea, Jenny! Loving how you did Grandma Johnson's portrait.
And then I'm always complaining about how I wish I had some paintings around the house in the colors that matched our decor without breaking the bank, but as I am terrified of oil paints (long story), this would be THE solution to my woes (I'm sure my husband would be absolutely thrilled to not have a whiny me to contend with).
    Thank you for this opportunity!

  15. I'm always more creative in my own mind than in reality. Hoping one of these would help push that vision towards becoming a truth.

  16. Your post prompted me to look into windows 8 devices… I would love to win one! I think I'd try wet paint with just about every image i own. I've also been looking into taking some fine art painting classes. Perhaps this would be a great way to practice techniques. I know my girls would love this too! I''m dying to try this…. Fingers are definitely crossed.

  17. I would love to paint abstracts and portraits! I'm fairly certain this could become a new addiction! I didn't even realize such a thing existed!

Crossing fingers and toes I win!!!!!
