So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. This would be GREAT for our family! I would love to try portraits. We have four kids (ages 2 – 10) and I'd love to capture their childhood with something like this.
    Thanks!!

  2. Incredible giveaway! I've been shopping for tablets and this one is on my list! I would like to use it to paint new logos for my shops, but also to try some location drawing. I love sketching around town so it would be a fun twist to paint with a tablet around town!

  3. I feel the same way about my oil paints–I love them but they're too involved to be able to do very often (especially in my dorm room!!). I like Fresh Paint because you can practice practice practice!

  4. I would love to import photos to the wet paint app! I think I would start there before pretending to be an artist and painting from scratch. :)

  5. I want to use the wet paint app! It's actually something I've tried in the past, on copies of photos. It would be so nice to be able to paint without pulling out all my supplies!

  6. Awesome giveaway! I like the features where you can upload your own picture and alter it either with the wet paint or paint over it like you did with your Grandma's portrait.

  7. Wow, how cool is that app!? I would love to try the brush stylus. I wonder if they'll make it for apple products too? I love your creations, I haven't painted in quite some years, but this would be a fun way to get back into it, specially for a project I currently have in mind for the hallway.

  8. Hi Jenny!

I think I would have to try out abstract paintings! What a cool app and what a FANTASTIC! giveaway!

    Thanks!!

  9. Hi Jenny!
I think my first project would be a portrait of my kids. I have a really cute one of them sitting on our front stoop with big brother's arm around his little sister when they were quite small. It would be adorable.
    Thanks for the contest!

  10. Oh my goodness I'm not sure where I would start…its been years since I last painted and I do want to get back into it…I'm thinking over a old b&w photo of my mom and her siblings at their lake house!!

  11. Hi Jenny!

    Thanks!!

  12. I used to do a lot of figure drawing, but I've stopped because of the set-up and clean-up time. I would love to use this to get back into that, with the added benefit of tricking people into thinking I can use oil paints!

  13. Hi Jenny!

    Thanks for the contest!

  14. I'd love to give abstract painting a try. And my husband is an architect, and has mentioned painting over some of his sketches. SO many options!

  15. This would be really cool. I haven't worked a lot in paints but I love the look. I am definitely an abstract kind of person, but I love that painting you did of your grandma. I think it would be awesome to do something like that. I think the sky is the limit. Such a cool thing. Sign me up!

  16. Love this…i am thinking that I would love to try my hand at still life using imported pictures. It would be so much fun!

  17. I'd love to use this to paint pictures for the new gallery wall I created! (some of the frames are still empty..opps) I would do something that reminds me of home (New York) since moving to Atlanta I miss the big apple everyday!

  18. bird paintings — I love how I can marry the texture of paint with graphic design, especially for wildlife depictions.

  19. I want to use pictures that I have taken and transform them into paintings. I like the look of hand painted pieces, and, given that I have no talent for painting, this would help me get the look I'm looking for without having to pay someone else to do it.

  20. I would love to use this for abstracts and landscapes! I'm a new mom so pulling out my paints just doesn't happen these days! This would be the coolest!

  21. I'd love to take some pictures of flowers and turn them into painting! Please tell them they need to make a version for the iphone ;) For some reason, I don't think they'll do that. Thanks for your great blog!
    Jen

  22. I would love to attempt some black and white abstracts, and also some portraits of my kiddos.

  23. I would like to use the program to transform pictures that I have taken to look like hand painted. Considering I have zero talent for painting, this would give me the opportunity to have the look I want.
