So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!
***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)
Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!
I think I'd want to try many types
I would LOVE this. We move so often (military) that my girls and I have been buying cheap canvases at Michael's to paint a picture of each house as a reminder. We sit on the curb before we move in lawn chairs and end up with three VERY different interpretations of our homes. This would be PERFECT to capture those beautiful homes we live in for a year at a time and put in our timeline hallway.
I would try coastal scenes; the beach, Big Sur area. Looks fun!
I would love to try importing my own photos to paint over. There are so many options!
I'd love to paint pictures of photographs that my boyfriend takes!
I was just telling my partner yesterday how much I want to get the windows 8 tablet now! I can't believe how realistic the brush strokes look! My main creative outlet is photography – I'd love to use the wet paint function to paint over some of my pictures! Too cool.
I love landscapes; they don't date themselves. :)
Abstracts, definitely, as I really have no artistic ability whatsoever. Painting over portraits would be fun to try with my daughter.
Landscapes… all the way!
Importing photos sounds like so much fun! What a great giveaway…thanks! Jordynhsmyth at gmail dot com
I'm a musician, and I love using image manipulation and paintings to make my album covers.. Would really love this.. :)
And yeah, abut the tablet, I am a college student who has to carry around a heavy laptop for simple tasks like note-taking! This would make my life SO much easier! :D
I would love to do abstracts!

I'm buzzing with inspiration, I'm thinking portraits, something beautiful and personal for my daughters nursery. I'm thinking a childhood photo from a trip to Paris with my grandmother. Thank you for inspiring me! xx
I'm dreaming of lots of landscapes! What a beautiful concept!
That is the coolest app ever!
I would do abstract painting
I would love to try something like you did with your grandmother's photo.
I am a teacher and would love to use this app to teach my students the ABCs in a fun artistic, abstracty way.
I really want to try the photo feature, or just doing portraits. It would be fun to go over an image of a map too! looks really cool. Laurenannehunterpdx@gmail.com

I would love to try my hand at some abstracts! Awesome giveaway!
Definitely abstracts! This looks so fun! Kate (kategriffith(at)yahoo(dot) com)
Landscapes…. wide open spaces will billowy clouds. What a great giveaway!

How exciting!! I'd probably start with a portrait…need to look through all my files for the perfect subject!!
I think some abstracts are the way to go for me. It may hide where I lack in talent. My 9 year old daughter would be awesome at this however.
I would love to try to import photos. What a cool feature!
I'm going to "need" this, whether I luck out and win it or not! I love to play with real paint, but I'm not particularly talented, so importing photos as a blueprint and turning them into paintings would be awesome.

I am dying to try it all! Mostly abstracts. I feel like my painted abstracts never look good in real life. Maybe this is the answer to my painting prayers!
Adapting old photos would be fun! Or abstract images to be printed on large poster paper!
Abstracts, for sure! This app seems so great!
Your painting is so lovely! I'd definitely use it to paint over some fun prints (chevron, paisley, etc.) to give it a less structured look.
Such a fun app! I would love to try the wet paint function!
Abstract paintings of my dog? Why not!
I would like to try and abstract–and let my little boys do it for me!
I would love for my girls, Isabel and Emma, to create their own artwork for family members. What a treat for grandmas and aunties!!
I have a long list of photos I'd love to import! I'd start with some of my family and go from there!
It looks super cool – I want to try it all!
Thanks for the giveaway.

Oh my goodness, I would love one of these. I think I'd use it primarily for that wet paint feature, or for my own take on art I like but don't quite love yet.
I would love to try portraits of my three kids! So much fun!
I love that you can create just the piece of artwork that you need for a particular room. I want a woodsy-type something in my living room, so that's what I'd attempt first!
I think an abstract would be the way to go for me, it may hide my limited talent. My nine year old daughter however, would be awesome at this!
I wasn't sure about the windows 8 tablet but after seeing your post from yesterday, I'm sold! Love it!
Endless, v exciting possibilities! I'd start with abstract…that's if I could keep it out of my 6 year old daughter's hands, who would LOVE this!
I would love to add some character to a bunch of interesting postcards that I have been saving.

After reading your post from yesterday, I am totally sold on getting one!
I'd love to import some of my summer lake-time photos and use the paint ap over them – it looks like such a cool way to jazz up a photo.
I just went through a breakup and am trying to get back in touch with some of my hobbies and I think this would be a great way to ease back in.
This is so cool! I think I'd like to do portraits of my sons. Thanks!
I'm dying over your painting creations! Would love to be able to do this myself, as you said, without all the horrible chemicals used with real oil paint.
