So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.
So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!
***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)
Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!
Love the painting you did of your grandma, Jenny! I would attempt to do the same with a photo of my grandmother :)
This would be an amzaing oppertunity for me. If I were to win this contest I would use it 24/7 on painting landscapes. I am 15 years old and I love nature and being able to capture that through art.
I love the painting you did, Jenny! I would attempt to do the same with a picture of my grandmother who I never got to meet. That'd be special :)
This would be an amazing oppertunity. I love nature and expressing that through landscape paintings. Thanks for the chance to win!

I would try my hand at landscapes.
I'd probably do still lifes as that's what I do mostly (pastels or oil). This would be really fun to branch out and try something new- completely and totally guiltless as no paper was wasted & I don't need to feel judged while my skills are still developing. :)
Wow! This is amazing! I think I would try an abstract first.
I would love to import a photo of my house and "paint "it – such a cool ap!
OH what a fabulous giveaway. I love ALL kinds of art…but the thing i need to "work" on the most are pieces that involve people and animals…need to hone my skills!!
I'd love to paint close-ups of facial features.
I'd love to use it or abstracts!!
I'd love to use it or abstracts!!
Abstracts, inspired by Rothko! Fun!
What a wonderful app…the artist in me is salivating! Would love to experiment without fear of using up real paint. :-)
LOVE this! Abstracts! Or funky portraits of our FOUR dogs!!!
I would love to do abstracts and portraits, can you do watercolours with it? Cuz that would be the s**t!!

I would to abstracts for sure!!
I'd love to try some landscapes in fresh paint! SO amazing!
Wow! I would paint stick-figure portriats…I think that is all I would be able to achieve for now.

I love the wet paint option! This would be a great tool :)
What? This would be awesome and I'd actually use it in my classroom – making mess free self portraits & creating new book covers of our favorite books are the first things that come to mind.
Portraits! Would be fun to try.
I would love to paint a still life, or an abstract piece. :) Such a cool app!
Miss using my art degree — this program would be perfect! Love your blog!

I would attempt them all! From the beautiful smiling faces of my children to the fresh colorful blossoms of spring, the possibilities are endless!!
I'd use the wet paint feature to gift my mum 'paintings' from our travels to Germany and London. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
I'd like to start with abstract and go from there. Looks like a lot of fun!
Wonder if I could use it to get my dogs to paint? They have as much skill as I do….

I would love to be able to paint a portrait of my grandmother with my mother when she was little girl!
I would love to just sit and play with it and see what happens! It looks SO FUN.
I would love to import some photos & get creatively abstract with them!
Abstracts and portraits! :)
I like what you've done with the portrait. My daughter has sensory issues, and loves to 'make pictures' with many different apps. This looks like a great way to introduce a different kind of art without having oil paints all over the table, the floor, our hands… etc. :)
I am looking to add some pops of colour to my home, so I would love this for making abstracts!
I would love to try importing photos and trying to paint over them! I'm not sure I have the same artistic touch you do, but at least there is an undo button.

I`d probably try portraits. Miss my mom, grandma and little sister a lot so I would likely do one for each.
Definitely something with text. I'm a writer and love when I see paint and text together!
Abstracts! Or people sketches.
Kellys says…..OOOOOOOOOOOO….would love to try all the different modes. The wet paint seems really cool, but I couldn't help but try them all. This looks so awesome :)

I would LOVE to use the import function to use on my photos of Mont St. Michel, Paris and Switzerland. I can see them hanging in my home already.
I love the idea of trying something abstract for my first project. Something small that I could put on a gallery wall I am planning
I would love to try a portrait!
I would totally try impression painting. What an incredible app!
I haven't painted since I was a teen and would love to get back to it! Will probably start with still life, an to on to landscapes – would be fun to tackle my window view :)
I love doing animals and nature studies, and lately I've been trying to get into digital art!
Abstract because portraits by me wouldn't be pretty. I love the photo-turned-painting you did for your mother.
I haven't painted for years, it's just not a option with my current life pace to mess with paint :(
Would love to try still life and landscapes for a start!
This app looks awesome!
