So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. I would love to use this to paint more often. It's such a hassle to get everything out and put back and still have time to paint much anymore. I also love how you redid an old family photo. So fun!

  3. OMG!! I was so inspired after your post on this … I am dying to try my hand at some of my favorite photos. Thanks so much for hosting this give-away! :-)

  4. I would love to share this with my teenage daughters whom I'm sure would use it for anima and portrait painting.
    Love your blog.

  5. I would have so much fun with this! Right now I would love to try out some abstract floral designs that are floating around in my head. It just seems hard to haul out all the physical stuff you need for painting and the idea of just sitting down and creating when you have the spark is so cool.

  6. I would love to be able to work out layouts and designs for paintings and other projects using these amazing tools! Oh, my gosh, this looks like so much fun! I love painting portraits, animals, flowers, trees, still lifes… This would be great for all of them!!

  7. My name is Takia (takia3@yahoo.com). I have recently gotten very much into painting so I would love to use it to try my abstract painting tecniques to see how it compares to the real thing. I would also want to venture out though and try painting on photos, trying out the cool functions and seeing how it can expand the work I already do. It would be so exciting to win and would really encourage me to keep going down the path I'm on to hopefully discover a new career.

Thank you for the contest. What a blessing this will be to someone. Whoever wins is going to be super duper excited! :-)

  8. Wow – this is such an amazing giveaway! I love the paintings you did and if I won this I would want to do some graffiti art inspired work like I saw on the Facebook link you provided. Thanks for always giving us blog readers so much to look forward to! xo Kim (kim.rechtschaffen@gmail)

  9. I'd love to upload some landscape and nature shots, and play with them to get some really cool looking finished pieces!

  10. Awesome giveaway! I would love to try the wet paint/portrait feature, but honestly all of it looks fun. I have a family picture gallery wall and it would be so fun to mix in some painted portraits in the mix!!

  11. Awesome giveaway! I would love to try the wet paint feature with photos, we have a big gallery wall of family photos and adding painted portraits to the mix would be really cool. Honestly it all looks fun. fingers crossed!

  12. I really liked how you imported the photo–I have almost zero artistic ability, but I think I could create something pretty with a nudge in the right direction.

  13. When I read your post, I got goosebumps! Wow, what an amazing tool! I'd like to upload some beautiful colour rich photos ( perhaps a Monet ) and create my vision boards. To combine inspiration and creativity in this way would be thrilling! I live in a lovely rural area with horses nearby – oh, to upload some bright spring green photos and then create! (I'll just pick myself up from my swoon…)

  14. Hello! Lovely giveaway! If I won this, I'd work on an abstract which I'd print up huge for above the sofa. Thanks so much! j21topshopgirl(at)yahoo(dot)com

  15. My husband has taken up water color painting and I'm sure he would LOVE the tablet! But that's assuming he can pry it out of my grip — I love the photo importing idea and would really enjoy trying it out.

  16. My husband is a pretty decent artist, and I've been wanting to paint a landscape for our bedroom for a while, but he hasn't felt confident enough. This Fresh Paint app seems like a great way for him to import a photo and make it his own work of art!

  17. This looks amazing! I would love to play around with all sorts of things, especially the photograph-turned-painting idea that you demonstrated.

  18. I would love to import photos of my family and create new portraits. I would also like to try to incorporate the art into my classroom.
