So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. That looks like such a fun app, I'd love to import some landscape photos to play with! Thanks for the chance to win!

  3. I'm in love with what you did with the photo of your great (great, great?) grandma. I would love to try similar things to come up with unique portraits, although I have my doubts about having the talent to create an end result as lovely as yours.

  4. My daughter who is 12 is very creative and artistic. I would love for her to have the opportunity to be able to use this tablet and program to grow as an artist. She has been begging for something that would help her expand her ideas. It would be an amazing resource for her to utilize!

  5. I would love to redo some old portaits of family. My husband lost his parents 2 years apart, and I just lost both my mom's parents recently- I think it would be beautiful to do a gallery wall of the redone photos as portraits.

And then maybe let the kids do some for homemade art!

  6. Wow this app is SO cool! I would love to try the abstract art especially but really all of the different types sound great. Its not exactly easy on the wallet to go out and buy all the different mediums needed to paint various styles, so with this all in one painting you could do it all with just the tablet and the brush. How awesome is that?
    Thanks!

  7. I just told my wife I wanted one if these! Their commercials are catchy. I'm not an artist, so practicing on the tablet would be a good way to be introduced without having to paint & canvas.

  8. I would so love to overpaint photos – I don't really know how, but if there's any software/machine that can take me there, it's this great combo! thank you

  9. I'm so impressed with the realistic look of the brush strokes! I'd like to try painting abstracts. And editing old vacation photos with the wet paint technique!

  10. I love the idea of working with mixed media, so I would definitely take advantage of importing photos then painting over them.

  11. I find that dragging out paints every time I feel the urge to be a little bit creative is often a big enough deal that it hinders me from even starting! This would be a great substitution for getting my daily dose of creativity! :)

  12. I would love to start a series with my daughter, "Saturday Mornings with Madeleine". Since starting full time work, we don't get as many "art hours" as we used to. She is only 20 months, so her portfolio is just beginning. Would LOVE to have digital work with her as well and physical.
