So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. This is sooooooo amazing. I love to paint but it always wrecks the mani. With this I would get my inner Degas going and paint me some lovely impressionist portraits.

  2. I'd love to try portraits and oil paintings. I had to look twice at ur posted pictures to figure out they were't "real". Pretty amazing app! :)

  3. I would totally paint a picture of my Golden retriever! I have always loved sort of Warhol takes on pets and this would be the perfect way to turn a great photograph of him into wall art.

  4. My family and I are bunch of art lovers but the cost of oil paints sometimes hinder us from enjoying our hobbies. This fresh paint app is definitely a great answer to our BIG PROBLEM. It looks like we are mixing real oil paints without the BIG MESS and the BIG COST of the oil paints plus the its amazing ability to undo mistakes. Art lovers will be very happy and grateful to Windows 8 for creating this amazing app. We love painting images of anything from nature and with Windows 8 Fresh Paint App we can paint with no limitations.

Great thanks to Windows 8 for this wonderful Fresh Paint App and Big thanks also to you Jenny Komenda for sharing the great news. :)

  5. I don't know what style but I'd do something very colorful. Not having to wash brushes and dispose of paint would make it easy to do that.

  6. Oh my goodness, I literally have been thinking about this app nonstop since you posted. I know of ay last 3 pictures I would overlay, and terry my hand at abstract for sure! The possibilities are endless!

  7. I would paint the ocean and sailboats. Beach scenes, lobster pots, buoys. You get the idea. Super giveaway! Love your blog, home and family!

  8. I would love to try abstracts! I have been in need of a new computer for quite some time now, this would be awesome!!!

  9. I would love to use the wet paint option and also paint some abstracts! I am in love with the work of the artist, Kerry Steele, that is featured often on Pink Pagoda. Would love to try my hand at beautiful pieces like hers. Thanks for offering!

  10. why or why do my comments never work here?! anyway- here is another attempt…I would LVOE to try my hand at this. Just last night I was trying an abstract to fit a left over ikea Ribba frame I had laying around.

  11. Wet paint looks like so much fun! I have a bunch of projects already percolating around in my mind – importing a photo of my kids to make it look more dreamy, a real attempt at an abstract piece (hopefully to hang in my home) – and I'd love to try some detail work with the stylus…I have been eying intricate henna patterns, and would love to see how the stylus handles that! Great giveaway…thank you!

  12. I have been wanting to try painting some fun abstracts, but I have been too lazy to go to the store and refresh my painting supplies. This would definitely solve that problem!

  13. _ would honestly give this as a gift to my niece. She is graduating high school in a few weeks and I have no idea what to get her! Shewill be an art student next year at college. She is such a creative and talented girl(and I love her to pieces). She would go crazy over this! I would have her make me some abstract paintings for my house which I have been wanting, but seriously have no talent to make!
