So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. I'm no artist, but I've always dreamed of being a portrait artist who only does paintings of people's homes..maybe this app could help me

  2. Landscapes and portrait! We're moving to Alaska and having a new baby all at once. (As a friend of mine says, I like to get in all my adventures in at the same time!)

  3. Like you, I would probably play with photographs and since I'm no good at realism I would try my hand at abstracts. I took art for a few years a long time ago, but haven't painted since. This looks like so much fun!!!

  4. Abstracts for sure. Like the one you did above. I'm wanting to try my hand at it soon anyway, but this way seems so much less messy :)

  6. such an awesome app! Would love a chance to add some of my very own art in my home! A portrait or something fun and funky :)

  7. I would definitely be interested in trying Fresh Paint. I've always wanted to try to make my own imitations of Mark Rothko's work, and I think this would be a great way to do it. Thanks for housing the giveaway!

  8. I can totally relate with Jenny- pulling out all the oil paint supplies with an 18 month old is tricky, at best! This app could help me stay in touch with the creative process. I love to paint landscapes- especially seascapes!!

  9. Oooh, how nice. I would paint portraits of my dachshunds. Probably start out with painting over a photo first. Then painting on a blank canvas. Fun fun.

  10. I would love to paint some of our favorite family photos–I think that would look so cool! Thanks for the giveaway!

  11. I love your latest abstract! I think that is what I would like to try my hand at, maybe in line with Michelle Armas' works. I have never had the lightest touch when it comes to oil painting… maybe this app is just what I need!

  12. This app and tablet looks so fun and entertaining. I'd love to remake old and new family pictures. These days most of our pictures just make it to facebook and that's it; I'd love to take those and make them into real tangible paintings! :) saragw47@gmail.com

  13. I would love to try my hand at abstracts, like the one above. I've been searching for one with the perfect colors for my living room, it would be great if I could just make it myself!

  14. wow, what a great app! I'd like to do a series of abstracts for the living room – this seems like less intimidating alternative to just diving in on a set of canvases.
