So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.
So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!
***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)
Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!
I'd love to try painting a portrait! :)
experiment….see what is in my mind. and then have my granddaughters do the same!

I have always wanted to learn how to paint black and white family photos! This would make it so much easier! And my parents 50th wedding anniversary is coming up! Thanks for the chance to win!!!
I'd love to try importing photos!
I love that you did a portrait of your grandmother. Such a fun way to update a family keepsake, and not get in trouble with my mom for not snagging one of her originals.
I am in love with the painting you did from the imported picture of your grandma. Would love to try that with some of our old family photos as well.
I would love to try the portraits! But lets be serious I will be doing abstracts!

I am far from an artist, but this would be fun to play with! I would probably actually gift it to my beloved father – a computer science professor who has always had a love of art – I hope to see him create many beautiful works upon retirement. What better way to combine his two passions than a tablet & wet paint!

It would definitely have to be abstracts. Even if I tried portraits or landscapes, they would end up abstract, lol.
I would work on the silhouette of my dog layered into a background of some modern floral design. Not to mention playing with all the pictures i have taken at national parks and along the Pacific coast.
I would love to work on portraits of my two little boys, painting over a few of my favorite photos the way you did with your grandmother's photo. I think, too, I'd love to let my boys try it out and create some original art we can easily print, frame and enjoy.

Pick me! Pick me! I would love to do a little abstract as well as impressionism :) njs05b@acu.edu
Oh wow…what a fabulous giveaway! I would love to try abstracts, and for sure I would be all over the photos.
Thanks for the chance!
Oh it inspires so many ideas, but I totally would import a few of my landscape images. I'm thinking my image of the blue waters of Lake Michigan could be really cool with this. Also would love to try my hand at some abstracts like these…

I think I would try everything, but I would probably be most excited about flower pics. It's the florist in me :) drlaurawilliams at sbcglobal dot net if I win (I don't check my google account)
I would try painting an abstract painting.
amazing! First project would be of my pups portrait style with sombreros.
This would be great! Would love to try my hand at this!
My 5 year old has set the bar pretty high for quality artwork in our household, but with this I think I can finally catch up with him.
Wow! Love this amazing app! I would love to do an abstract portrait of Lulu, our English Bulldog.

As a recent New York transplant I'd love to import photos from my hometown in Northern California and then paint on/over those
I'd paint a still life or two!
Oh wow–what wouldn't I want to try?? Would try
The wet paint feature first, I think. Would love to play with some pictures from our recent trip to the redwoods in northern ca!!

I would looove to experiment with abstracts, and nature scenery!
This is an amazing app! I'd love to try the wet paint function. karliesherman AT Hotmail DOT com.
portraits for sure! i am dying to try this thing.
I think that the app would allow for some wonderful family memories to be translated from emotionless digital photos to meaningful art using such amazing technology! It's truly shocking what such innovative products can allow creative-types to do. Cheers!
I would like to paint portraits and abstracts. Your painting was inspirational, and now I want to do portraits using that app.
I am hoping to recreate this : http://mlkshk.com/r/IW1P
/joking. I am hoping to get back to painting by starting out with this app. My career doesn't leave me much time for art, crafts and hobbies, but I would love to get back to painting.

I would love to import photos of the beautiful hills back home in Northern California then use this tool to pain on/over those familiar scenes. Would be a fun fest reader but also a great momento of my life back west
My great-aunt Sally quit her job in the 1950's to become an artist full-time. I have a few of her charcoals and paintings, and she also did restorations for the Detroit Art Museum (the name at the time). I've always wanted to try my hand at painting, as I've been accused of being very like Sally, but have never tried. This seems like it might be a great opportunity!
I would love to try making some cool abstract art. Love the idea of being creative without a bunch of mess to clean up. With three (soon to be four) little kids, I don't get much time for creativity these days!
So cool. I would paint my garden.

They are gorgeous, and I'd love to try something similar–flowers or still-lifes. This seems like it might be a great opportunity! My email is mickie@woh.rr.com.
This is so wonderful! I have been trying to find pictures to fill two large frames in my living room for months. This App sounds like the ticket. Abstract with lots of purples!
Love LGN!

What a great app! My mom paints with oils all the time, I think she would love this.
wholly halleluya! What a THING! The possibilities in my mind went haywire when I saw this…truly endless and I'm truly covetous. I'd Start with trying to paint the rug designs i try to make with other fairly limited tools; the digital ones have so far ended up amateurish-looking. This however looks immensely promising.
I would like to paint animals :) I love mine so much!

My son is learning pointilism right now. he would love this!
Abstracts! I always love the look and think "I wonder if I could do that myself". . .

I love what you did with the picture of your Aunt. I would definitely do this with some picture of my kids and a picture of my beloved 17 year old cat, Ringo, that we sadly had to say good bye to last month.
Paintings of the "babies" – aka as my cats and dogs.

I'd love to do portraits of my sweet dogs and cat!
Would definitely do abstracts with a cubism feel.
Definitely abstracts!
Abstract! I am loving them lately. But, I loved what you did with the portrait, too!
