So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.
So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!
***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)
Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!
I am an abstract painter, but sometimes I have ideas and don't have time to get them on a canvas. Would love to use this app as a 'sketch pad'.
Since I already dabble (and haven't done so it some time) with abstracts, I would LOVE to practive with portraits. People for some reason are so hard for me to paint. Horses and boats on the other hand – a breeze :)
This would be fantastic to win!!!

Importing photos – love to do some of my kids!
I don't need the Windows 8 tablet as I have Fresh paint on my Windows 8 laptop which it's very good so good look to the winner
This looks so cool. I just need to tain my cats to sit for the portraits that their lovely features and general handsomeness demand!
I would love to try out impressionist seascape with Fresh paint app. There is photo that my husband took on the road to Hana in Maui, Hawaii; that has simply amazing sea view. I would love to import that photo and convert it to a painting using wet paint function. something like this http://images.artid.com/images/members/807/7115145zoomed.jpeg
:)

Wow, this is insanity! I would really try a bit of everything. I have lots of photos that would be fun to "paint", but I would like trying freehand stuff too.
I would like to try converting an existing image to a painting done in pointillism… and then, because I'd mess it up at the last minute, I'd blend all of those dots together and call it impressionism!
I'm sure I won't win but chelseaas at gmail
I plan on painting abstracts and portraits. With an active toddler boy and another baby boy on the way, this will be a fun (and easy – no clean-up!) way to nurture my artistic side while enjoying my mommy duties. Here's to hoping! I'm at writejoanne@gmail.com
I love this!! I would def start with portraits of my boys. I have always wanted to have one of them done but they are so pricey! Maybe I could make my own with this! And then I'd move onto abstracts!
Fingers crossed!!
I would love to try out the portrait features with my childrens' photos!

Definitely abstact but love the idea that you can use photography/photographs. Reckon my kids would love it too. :)
I would love to try an abstract! I've been wanting to paint one for my living room, but I'm not brave enough! This sounds so fun!
I would definitely do abstracts! Love the one you did!
I would love to use it on photos of my children!
I would probably do abstract! Love the one you did already Jenny!
I would love to paint over a picture of my mother and me when I was a baby. :)
Abstract for sure. Would also love to combine with photographs. I'm sure the kids would get creative too. :)
i want one so badly! i'd create portraits of my dog and cat!
I would love to try my hand at an abstract painting!! Something to add to my gallery wall. Mdselvia at yahoo dot com
I'd do abstract landscapes and still life. So fun!
Hi Jenny! I couldn't be more excited. You and some other bloggers have given me the confidence to explore and spread my wings creatively. I've spent my life as an accountant, but am finding I'm very creative. I LOVE art and would start with colorful abstract painting and importing/personalizing images that speak to me. No telling where it might lead.
I am working on a portrait of my daughter in watercolor right now. I took a picture I LOVE and have been taking painting classes for 6 months and felt like I could tackle painting from a photograph. It's super slow going… with the fresh paint app, I could have been done by now!!
I would love to paint abstracts that catch the eye and create a visual story!
Art is my life and winning this would be an absolute dream

Here goes…My husband has Stage IV metastatic cancer. I'm quitting my job to care for him. I have very little time to devote to much needed creative endeavors with being a care-giver, the house, yard etc. I so want to get back into painting again and this would be just the ticket. Hope I win so I can sit with him and get some much needed paint therapy. Blessings.
DAAAAAAAAAAANG, what a great giveaway!! I'd use that awesome app to make an abstract for our dining room. A big, bright, in your face one for over the piano.
thanks for the chance, jenny!
What wouldn't I do? I'd proabaly try my hand at abstracts or use the wet paint function (which looks so cool!)first, but I'd probabaly also use it to paint moustaches and funny hats on photos of family and friends;)
WOW – I would love to try and do a painting of an old photo of my parents!! Thanks.
With my first child now 4 months, traveling a favorite hobby for my husband, and family portraits of years gone by a favorite of mother's, I can see so many options – portraits, landscapes, gifts!!!! The options are endless! LOVE your blog! Thanks! Kimberly
I have an old photo of my grandparents in their younger years that I'd love to try to paint over! :)

I'd probably try an abstract!
This is amazing!! I would love this tablet and app to paint photographs and I love abstracts as well.
I'd love to try and paint some B&W
photos to give as gifts for Mother's Day or other occasions.
Love your site, Jenny~

I would love to import a photo and try portraits! WOW – so cool!!
This fascinates me! I would love to use this to paint abstracts and possibly portraits. I'm an artist, so this is definitely "outside the box" for me but looks so fun!

I'd probably enjoy tinkering with imported photos like you did. So fun!

I would love to try my hand at replicating famous French paintings. Top on my list are Henri Rousseau's works, but doing something of Paul Cézanne's or even of Belgian painter René Magritte's would be great.
I think I would paint a picture of my parents house and give it to them for their anniversary!
Abstracts are my favorite.

What a great giveaway!
If I win, I'll definitely try out importing photos and painting over them. :)
I'd love to try some abstracts.
I would love to use this to paint when I don't want the mess of real painting!
I would love to use the wet paint feature with photos!thanks!
