So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. I am an abstract painter, but sometimes I have ideas and don't have time to get them on a canvas. Would love to use this app as a 'sketch pad'.

  2. Since I already dabble (and haven't done so it some time) with abstracts, I would LOVE to practive with portraits. People for some reason are so hard for me to paint. Horses and boats on the other hand – a breeze :)
This would be fantastic to win!!!

  5. This looks so cool. I just need to tain my cats to sit for the portraits that their lovely features and general handsomeness demand!

  6. Wow, this is insanity! I would really try a bit of everything. I have lots of photos that would be fun to "paint", but I would like trying freehand stuff too.

  7. I would like to try converting an existing image to a painting done in pointillism… and then, because I'd mess it up at the last minute, I'd blend all of those dots together and call it impressionism!

  8. I plan on painting abstracts and portraits. With an active toddler boy and another baby boy on the way, this will be a fun (and easy – no clean-up!) way to nurture my artistic side while enjoying my mommy duties. Here's to hoping! I'm at writejoanne@gmail.com

  9. I love this!! I would def start with portraits of my boys. I have always wanted to have one of them done but they are so pricey! Maybe I could make my own with this! And then I'd move onto abstracts!

    Fingers crossed!!

  10. Hi Jenny! I couldn't be more excited. You and some other bloggers have given me the confidence to explore and spread my wings creatively. I've spent my life as an accountant, but am finding I'm very creative. I LOVE art and would start with colorful abstract painting and importing/personalizing images that speak to me. No telling where it might lead.

  11. I am working on a portrait of my daughter in watercolor right now. I took a picture I LOVE and have been taking painting classes for 6 months and felt like I could tackle painting from a photograph. It's super slow going… with the fresh paint app, I could have been done by now!!

  12. I would love to paint abstracts that catch the eye and create a visual story!

Art is my life and winning this would be an absolute dream

  14. Here goes…My husband has Stage IV metastatic cancer. I'm quitting my job to care for him. I have very little time to devote to much needed creative endeavors with being a care-giver, the house, yard etc. I so want to get back into painting again and this would be just the ticket. Hope I win so I can sit with him and get some much needed paint therapy. Blessings.

  15. DAAAAAAAAAAANG, what a great giveaway!! I'd use that awesome app to make an abstract for our dining room. A big, bright, in your face one for over the piano.

    thanks for the chance, jenny!

  16. What wouldn't I do? I'd proabaly try my hand at abstracts or use the wet paint function (which looks so cool!)first, but I'd probabaly also use it to paint moustaches and funny hats on photos of family and friends;)

  17. With my first child now 4 months, traveling a favorite hobby for my husband, and family portraits of years gone by a favorite of mother's, I can see so many options – portraits, landscapes, gifts!!!! The options are endless! LOVE your blog! Thanks! Kimberly

  18. I would love to try my hand at replicating famous French paintings. Top on my list are Henri Rousseau's works, but doing something of Paul Cézanne's or even of Belgian painter René Magritte's would be great.
