So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.
So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!
***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)
Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!
I would love to go over old photos or pictures with this app. it looks like so much fun!
WHAT??!! This giveaway is amazing! I have been wanting to make a painting similar to this for my home, but I don't have the guts as I have no painting background. Maybe this will help me! Would love to win!
I would paint the sea because I miss it so.
I would love to try abstract painting!
Myabe I would get better then:)
I would love to paint some portraits of my daughter and my berner.
I love the idea of painted portraits for gifts. I would also like to try abstract painting as I love them but I am no artist!
Great giveaway! I would do abstracts.
Abstracts, that way when I end up with a garbled mess, I can pass it off as "art" :)
I'd love to do photos of my cat! Haha, no seriously. And photos from my wedding. I think that'd be fun. :) Abstracts also. My husband uses charcoals. I think he'd like this too.
I would start with abstract and then try it all I'm sure!! This looks amazing!
This is such an exciting giveaway! I would use this mostly for portraits and abstract pieces…. I can already feel my creative juices flowing! :)

Thanks!
I would upload a photo of my daughter and use the program to alter the photo a bit, into something fun and goofy, to reflect her personality. She would love it.

I would love to do a series of abstracts. Thanks for the chance to win!
Yay! I can leave a comment (I would comment on almost all of your posts … they're all so cool … but I'm not a blogger). Anyway, I would definitely do abstracts; I love playing with combinations of shape, texture and color.

I'm dying to try the wet paint function to paint over old photos like you did with your grandmother's. I think a landscape would be really cool to try!
Thanks!
Mary
I'd love to try making an oil painting out of a picture! Especially pictures of my son as gifts for family.
I would really like to do abstract painting and get them printed onto large posters. Some of the inspiration for these pieces included this http://pinterest.com/pin/313844667752652681/
and this http://pinterest.com/pin/313844667752620615/
I love what you did with your grandmother's picture – I'd try something like that. I'd also love to try and abstract. P.S. I love your blog!
Would love to win this and work on some interesting abstracts!
Would love to win this and work on some interesting abstracts!
Importing old family photos.
I'd love to try to make abstract portraits!
definitely landscapes or florals especially with all the blooming spring around. this looks like an awesome app.
I got so excited when I saw your post yesterday, but when I realized it was for window's tablets only I figured it wouldn't happen for me. So excited to have a (slim at this point – over 900 entries!?!) chance. I used to paint regularly. Oils were my medium of choice and landscapes or still lifes my subject, but I never seem to have time anymore. I love that I'd have the chance to do some quick, no mess artwork whenever I want. And the features of using pictures and such as the base is definitely something I'd have fun playing around with!
I would love to play around with it. I'm not much of an artist and busting out the real stuff is a little harder to hide when it doesn't turn out that great.
Abstracts! Yours is amazing.
This is genius! My daughter and I would never stop using such a fantastic device. Thank you for the chance. I would do abstract to start & then venture to other genres:)

All of the above! I have wanted to learn to paint FOREVER but have been intimidated and overwhelmed with all the supplies… But this seems much more doable as a beginner to get m feet wet before I plunge in with the real deal. This app is blowing my mind!!! Thanks!!!!
I never seem to be able to get what's in my brain on the paper/canvas – would love to try this app to see if it could help me out!
Fabulous tool to make so many things… the options are endless!!!
I would LOVE to give this a try!
I would try my hand at portraits. I love to draw and think this would be a perfect transition into trying paints. I also got so excited about reading about that feature, I was seriously considering buying a windows tablet — over just one app!
A portrait! I love them
I was actually just telling my husband about yesterday's post & how cool I thought that app was!
I would def try the portrait painting!

It looks like so much fun…I'm not a big painter but my sister is and I'd love to give it to her!
I love this! I want to make some amazing abstracts, and try my hand at a painting over a picture!
I would love to try many types, but I am especially intrigued by importing photos. Definitely portraits! They're so lovely and personal. Would also love to try going over old b&w photos, like you did in th

I would love to try importing a photo and making it look like an oil painting! I love to paint as a hobby but don't do much oil painting so this sounds like a fun way to try it out. Thanks for the giveaway :)
Oooh. I would be trying the photo import while my sister (the artist) would be looking over my shoulder making suggestions: we'd have to split the time!
I would love to try my had at importing photos!
I would love to try importing photos like you did! Thanks for sharing that with us!
I would love to do some abstract paintings and give my living room walls a boost of color! :)
Wow! How great would it be to get this. I would love to work on any of those…but I love the idea of importing photos and painting over them.
I loved watching how you transformed the photo of your grandmother. I would definitely use it to try something like that. The brush stylus seems so fun!

I would definitely explore some abstract painting possibilites… stretching back to something I haven't done in years!
I would love to try my hand at using the "wet paint" function with an imported photo!
I would love to get my hands on one of these to create all kinds of art. But I'd really love to be able to paint my own maps. My first project would be taking a map of the lake I grew up on and making a painting out of it. It would be fab for sure!!
Oh, gosh, what WOULDN'T I try? Pet portraits, kid portraits, landscapes, abstract paintings, "paintifying" old family photos…I could re-do the Mona Lisa, and do it up right this time! I could tidy up those messy Jackson Pollocks, and color correct Andy Warhol's soup cans….Thanks for the oppportunity
I think landscapes would be so fun to paint! And I agree, with a little out around, it's hard to haul out my "real" paints!
I'm just learning to paint to something that would allow me to practice through the work week would be so wonderful!
