So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. I desperately need some art in my house. Would love to try both abstract and portrait now that it looks so easy with the Windows 8 Tablet and wet paint app.

  2. I would try an abstract–I struggle with them in real paint but this would let me fix things easily!

  3. So excited about the possibilities here! My mom has portraits of my brother and me as babies, and I'd love to do the same with my (soon to be) two sons. My favorite thing to paint, though is landscapes. I think I'd spend many an evening unwinding with this!

  4. It's the perfect way to paint without the hassle of actually using paint and cleaning brushes! I will finally be able to use my creativity whenever I feel like it! How great would it be to "paint" while waiting in line! My first project? A series of paintings of the stages of my garden! Or each of the different chairs in my home!

  5. I would love to win this for my husband as he is a talented painter but we have no room for his art stuff in our small apartment. If course I would live to try it out as well

  6. I think I would try what you did- converting a photo into a painting. I really like drawing with pastels but I'm loving this no-mess option!

  7. I'd love to use this app to create portraits based on a large box of forgotten photos and postcards recently discovered in my great-grandmother's attic. It would mean so much to my mother, grandmother and sister to update and enjoy familiar faces and scenes from our lives!

  8. I love the idea of painting over photos to create something totally new! This is super exciting, I hope I win because I would really like to have some art in my life!
Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. So fun! I'd like to "paint" over favourite photographs (sorry, have to cheat a bit here) of things that mean a lot to us – favourite stuffed animals, family heirlooms like vases, pieces of clothing, ticket stubs, shells from vacations, etc….. to make these pieces of art!

  10. How fun!! I used to draw and paint all the time but then I became a Mom and it all changed. Shameful I know but I released how much I missed it and have been thinking about taking a class. Maybe winning would be the motivation I need.

  11. I read your last post after a stressful day and your comment on how relaxing painting was inspired me. I've never painted and am planning a trip to the paint store to take up this beautiful habit. With this lovely giveaway, I would paint everything. Truly.

  12. I would love to import photos and "paint" them. But I'd also like to let my kids try it and see what they create.

  13. This app looks awesome! I have tons of travel pictures that I would paint out and print. Oh! And picture of the dogs I walk!

  14. My inspiration is the nature, especially right now in spring, when everything is waking up to life. I love Monet because of this, his painting are always so beautiful and colorful and are filling me with positive energy. So I would definitely try to paint the nature like Monet ;)

  15. Oh how crazy good is this! I would definitely try my hand at abstracts with interesting color combinations!
What a great giveaway – fingers crossed!

  16. Hi Jenny,
    I love your blog!
I would definitely try abstract paintings in vibrant colours. I've been eyeing the windows tablet for quite sometime, it would be an absolute delight to win! :)

  17. I've wanted to try abstracts for a while now! I'm always a little nervous to start the process (buying all the supplies, making a mess in the house, possible failure). This is the perfect way to get a lot of practice and create artwork without all the negatives!

  18. I would love to take something organic, like leaves from the garden, photograph them, and then turn them into something in extreme close up. But with the symmetry of a natural object.
