So many of you mentioned yesterday that you were dying to get your hands on the Fresh Paint app yourself. Well, here’s your chance! The Fresh Paint team provided me with a tablet with the Windows 8 software, a keyboard dock (making your tablet basically a fully functioning laptop), and a really cool stylus brush to give away so you can create your own masterpieces in Fresh Paint.

(one of my recent Fresh Paint creations – I’m loving this app!)

So to enter to win the tablet, keyboard and brush stylus, please leave a comment on this post, sharing what type of painting projects you’d try with the Fresh Paint app. Abstracts? Portraits? Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

Contest ends Sunday May 5 at midnight. I’ve opened up the comments to allow for unregistered users. The winner will be emailed so please be sure to leave you email address if you’re not signed in. Good luck!

  1. I think it would be so much fun to try this app for pet portraits – such a hot trend right now and this could make it seamless!

Your portrait of your grandmother was beautiful by the way – a great heirloom to add to your family.

  2. I would import a portrait and paint it. But it would actually be a picture of my son"s back. We found a painting that looks like my daughter from the back, so I would love to paint one of my son. tgrimshaweoc@hotmail.com

  3. This is so cool! As a mom of two little ones I rarely get a chance to bring out the oils (so messy! so time-consuming! so delicious looking to my 11-month old!). This would make working on my abstract paintings so much easier!

  4. I'd love to work on some portraits! I'm a graphic designer with a fine arts background, but I always felt that my portraits could use some improvement. The Windows 8 tablet seems like it'd be the perfect way to combine my fine arts background with my digital side.

  5. I just took thousands (seriously) of pictures on a vacation and I would love to use the app to transforms some of the photos into pieces I could give to family and friends as gifts!

  6. This app makes me so excited! So many possibilities! I would love to try my hand at landscapes and abstract painting. I love the portrait you did of your grandmother. How fun to import a wedding photo and paint over that. Oh the possibilities!! I would be thrilled to own this package, great giveaway!!

  7. Eeek! Love! I'd like to use the wet paint app to 'paint' some of my favorite photographs of favorite places. So, so cool!

  8. I love portraiture but sometimes, like you, I'm too tired to drag out all my supplies! So excited about that brush stylus!

  9. I would definitely do a portrait of my dog! Wet Paint sounds so fun and a good creative outlet for someone who lives in a small apartment.

  10. I like the idea of trying wet paint or importing a picture like you did. I also love bird and botanical paintings so I would be doing those also.

  11. We have long cold winters in Alaska! The App would help keep me busy while I wait for the thaw. I take lots of photos and would love to try using a photo with the wet paint App. The inspiration in endless. Moose, glaciers, eagles, bears and some of the most beautiful sunsets over ice crystal covered forests. What wouldn't I paint? Thank you for your blog.

  12. This is so great! I would start with abstracts, something simple and colorful, and maybe work my way up to portraits if I felt confident.

  13. I would try painting my kids by playing with an existing photo.
    Looks so cool!

  14. I'd love to make something with an imported photo. I am imagining something fun, colorful and abstract out of a beloved photo.

  15. I love the few things that you have shared with us! Now I'm dying to try myself! I think I'd get my feet wet using family photos.

  16. I would definitely want to experiment with the wet paint feature. Being able to take a memory from your past and recreate it (and maybe abstract it a bit) in paint form sounds amazing!

  17. I would love to try my hand at all different types! It would be really fun to import the photo I have from my house growing up, it had a beautiful sunset view that would look lovely in paint!
