Hoping to import a photo in using the “wet paint” function? Feel free to link to inspiration images. We’d love to see!

***This just in! CanvasPop is throwing in a free 12×18 custom canvas print of your masterpiece as part of the give away. How’s that for sweetening the pot? :)

  1. Oh my goodness. I think I would lean more towards abstracts, but I would love to do portraits of all the pets in my family. I think that would be amazing.

  3. After reading this post yesterday….I dreamed about this last night. I dreamed that I used the wet paint feature to paint over a bunch of photos that needed some oomph. I think I would love to use it to do some abstract paintings that I've been thinking about…but am too lazy to actually get out the paint.Love this idea!

  4. Oooh! We played with this program at the MoMa and LOVED it. I would let the kids go wild on it, and try my hand at oils. :)

  7. After reading your post yesterday….I dreamed about this last night. I dreamed I used the wet paint feature to paint over photos that needed some oomph. In real life, I would like to try my hand at portraits and some abstracts that I've been thinking about.

  8. I am pretty sure that I would love doing it all… (attempting) to create some portraits, playing around with some abstracts I have wanted to paint in real life, and the importing of pictures sounds like it would be a treat =)

  9. Wow, amazing giveaway!!! I am a photographer (lauramurrayphotography.com) and we do lots of travel– I take a million photos, as you can imagine. And when we travel we always try to find a unique painting to bring back. On the last trip, we couldn't find anything that resonated with us, so I would paint one of my photographs from the trip! I am not very good at painting with real paints, so I am eager to try painting digitally!!! Thank you for the coolest giveaway!!!

  10. This looks like an excellent app! I'd definitely try to copy some group of seven moody paintings or even just stylize some vacation photos. Mother's day is coming so maybe a landscape of the lake my family spends our summers at.

    LOVE your blog Jenny!

  12. I do a fair amount of outdoor scenery when I paint, and I think those would turn out beautifully on this! I have taken tons of photos of old live oaks and pretty coastal scenes, so importing those and recreating them would be lots of fun. Hoping I can try it out!

  13. I would love to paint some portraits! It's been so long since I've done any, this would be a great push to start again!

  14. I was blown away by your post yesterday. What a fun tool. Makes everyone feel like a natural artist! I have a feeling I'll be painting EVERYTHING with that wet paint function. I'll probably start with a portrait of my dog.

  17. I personally love to give hand made gifts for almost all occasions! Like you mentioned yesterday Jenny, this app gives you a canvas-like painting without the mess and clean-up of a real painting project.
It seems so hard to believe that this app can give you the results you showed us yesterday!
Well wedding season and all the events that go with it are around the corner and I would love to give it a try myself to see if I can come up with some lovely, unique, and affordable gifts! :) I'll keep my fingers crossed!
