After a swift turn of events at our house, my recently reupholstered bed was moved to Heather’s room and Michael and I bought a new frame. I’ve had headboard shapes on the brain for the past week, so I really loved getting this email from Eileen of A Creative Day. She totally went for it with a super curvy, super awesome DIY headboard.
She was inspired by this great headboard above from the Amanda Nesbit design challenge featured in House Beautiful a couple years ago. I loved that article too.
Eileen shares more info on her room redo HERE. She deserves a trophy for nailing in her trim the hard way – one by one. And PS, she found the fabric as a remnant at a local fabric store. Do you recognize the maker?
Very cool! I love fabric covered headboards and the curvy ones certainly are a hot trend these days.
She did such an amazing job! And, yes, I'm so impressed with her nail head job!
It looks fantastic! Love the material she chose.

I love the curvy shape and that fabric! She did a fantastic job
Awesome! I love the ball fringe on the curtains too.
I am with Steve – She had me at the ball trim!
gorgeous- what a great job she did!
I think the lamps she chose are truly the perfect scale – and love the bold pattern on the headboard! I played it safe with my 12 year old daughter's headboard, and chose a solid seaglass color linen, but I think she would have preferred a fun and vibrant pattern.
Loved this post!

Awesome DIY headboard, I must say its a designers class. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! Only thing off is the positioning of it. It would bug me to no end that the bar doesn't go across to the end of the door and that the lamps look off center too. But I'm also a bit a_ _al :)
the pom-poms on the curtains are the perfect complement to that headboard!
I am so not a DIY girl so I am extra impressed with the terrific job Eileen did – and how handy that she has helpful men in her house!!
Eileen is awesome and her bedroom is just as cool as she is! love it!
Nice Bedroom and great post.. I plan it for my own bedroom….I love while room…
