So remember when I bought this mirror? And had plans to turn it into a chalkboard?

Well, I totally didn’t get around to it and I’m so glad! I moved the coral/black bookshelf to the back of our apartment and scooted the skirted console over to that wall. Once the sconces were over in the gallery wall, the old mirror felt really small. On a whim I pulled out this mirror that was intended to be a chalkboard, and it was true love. The mirror fits the wall perfectly and looks great in the space!

So the moral of the story is sometimes procrastination pays off.

  1. Wow the mirror looks beautiful there!! I like the blackboard idea but it does look like it's home in that space just the way it is… =)

  2. I'm so glad you didn't make it over with chalkboard paint! This mirror is stunning the way it is! I am so jealous! Beautiful!

  3. Sometimes procrastination is my BFF. I totally get it. This sort of thing happens to me often. I love that mirror. I'm so envious of your thrifting/ treasure finding abilities. Here in Nowhere, NC there are only so many good place to go treasure hunting.

  4. You're right, that mirror is perfect there. =3 I am seriously in love with that yellow door and those stacks of books, too. They are so wonderfully fabulous~!

  5. Such a beautiful mirror! I'm glad you didn't get around to painting it with chalkboard paint becuase it looks amazing over your skirted console. I love that black and pink skirt… and all the color combos in your apt!

  6. I hope you won't find this insulting, but I thought you had lost your mind by planning a chalkboard in such a special mirror. Who wouldn't want to own such a spectacular mirror? It's perfection personified!

  7. After you posted this mirror originally I had been searching for a similar one! I found the exact same mirror at a thrift store a few months ago. It's proudly displayed over my fireplace now! :)

I'm so glad you didn't end up painting it. It looks perfect over that console table! Love the stacks of books too!

  8. I LOVE the moral of that story! And the mirror looks fab there.
