Style Me Pretty

Happy weekend, friends! What do you have going on? It’s pretty drizzly here in New York, but I’m feeling good and productive (which, isn’t that the best way to feel?). I hope you have a fun-filled, exciting (and maybe productive?) weekend! See you back here Monday. Lots of exciting things to share next week! Oh,…

Oh, and in case you’re one of the five people in the world that doesn’t read Style Me Pretty, head on over and check out my Buying Guide HERE, which was inspired by this beautiful Napa wedding.
Side note: Who else wants to have a redo on their wedding? Same guy. Different reception venue/photographer/flowers, etc, etc. I’ve talked to my friends who were married 8-10 years ago like I was (ie before blogs and Pinterest) and we all feel the same way :)

  1. yeah, a redo is in order. and half our family didn't show and there was weirdness – though we loved every single moment of it in that we were together and happy and in love and who cares about the rest? but still, i'd love to have more time, money, ideas and redo all the little details…as well as just get the dress i wanted and not the one all my girlfriends wanted. such i people pleaser, i was.

  2. I just got married not even a year ago and I will love to do it all over again SO many cute things out there!! Love the pink vanity! I wan it!

  3. I would love to plan it again. But looking back the day was pretty perfect and my mom turned into a crazy lady that six months so I might just call it a day! Seriously she lost her mind!

  4. TOTALLY want to redo our wedding. We were married almost 14 years ago, and it's ALL WRONG for my aesthetic. Back then, I didn't know what my aesthetic was.

I'm hoping my sister lets me help a LOT when she ties the knot someday. :)

  5. I would not change one thing (except for straps on my dress–yikes! And our lopsided cake disaster). We had a gorgeous ceremony, programs and reception. I deliberately tried to make it something I would not regret later! haha.

  6. I tell my parents all the time how lucky they are that I got married 20 years ago. Same guy , but everything else would be different and way more expensive ! Ignorance is bliss in this case;)

  7. Love the pink sofa. That little pillow is adorable. We are planning a wedding now for my daughter. Its fun to see her ideas and how much things have changed since I got married.

  8. I feel the same way – and I'll be married for 8 years next month! There are sooo many great resources out there now, so I want to renew for our 10 year…just to have a pretty party, of course! :)

  9. this picture collage is gorgeous.

Redo the wedding! Seal and Heidi Klum do each year on their anniversary :)

    I think it's a great idea for celebrating love…

  10. Yes! I want a wedding do over. I HATED my flowers! Still love my hubby, my dress, the venue, etc, but we talked about renewing our vows just to party with friends & family again. Maybe you should make this a giveaway. ;)

  11. Yes for the re-do. Going on 15 years now…same guy, same location, but I would change just about everything else. Especially the date…I still dream of having a December/Christmas wedding, but decided against it, back then.

  12. Yeah, couldn't agree more. Try 14 years ago. Things have really changed since then. While I loved my dress, it's a bit "princess-y" and the flowers were ridiculous! I would love to do something simple and fresh. I'll just have to wait till my daughter gets married which will hopefully not be for another 20 years (she's 9).

  13. A. I'm one of the 5 people that don't read Style Me Pretty! Guess I better add that to my blog roll!!
    B. YES I would love to redo my wedding reception and photographer! My photographer disappeared after the wedding so we have NO wedding photos! It is so upsetting I just can't think about it. We also had the reception my parents wanted since they paid for it. Also sad. I think we will have a big anniversary party in a few years and re-do it all!

  14. I love that powder-pink couch! I'm big into shabby chic and I think that couch would give my place a sort of soft, romantic vibe. Probably way out of my price range, though!
