This weekend I was digging around my computer looking for a photo I took last year some time. It was fun to flip through all the phone pictures I’ve taken on my work adventures and I thought I’d share some this week.
Never thought I’d say this, but I am so inspired by the colors in these rug pads from Home Depot. Lots of these colors are going into my apartment – cobalt blue, touches of neons, jade green, persimmon, mustard, even a little pink, with lots of white, black and gray.
Inspiration comes from anywhere! Love it :)

Lovely colors. You can get inspiration anywhere. I was on a boat in AK, and the bird droppings on a cliff made an amazing design! Unfortunately, no pics-DH had the camera on the other side of the boat.

How funny is this? When this new entry appeared for me, I immediately noticed that the rolls matched perfectly with the colours of a "certain" fabric, one which features dragons …
And the next thing I noticed was that it also matched perfectly with a piece of Chinoiserie fabric (was it vintage?) that appeared in the row of thumbnails along the bottom of the post!
I love when things work out like that!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds inspiration in obscure things :)
All I can think of when I see those is the amount of chemicals that go into them and that off gas into your home. But true color inspiration comes from anywhere…couldn't live without color!

Aaaahh…. It really is inspiring! It can come from anywhere, can't it? Lately I've been getting a lot of wonderful inspiration from trail hikes with my dog. Thanks for sharing :)
Never would have looked twice, thats very interesting inspiration. I would love to see a lampshade covered in a fabric with a pattern like the blue one. Would be so cute in a room with crisp lines.
