I’m always a sucker for art and fabrics with dark backgrounds. Don’t you just love these two images of Paris one hundred years ago?

Love your blog!

Wow! Absolutely gorgeous. I'm trying to imagine what color/kind of frame and if you would put a mat around them…? So lovely.
I can`t believe they were taken 100 years ago! They look so modern.
I love this site too, but every time I try to get on and locate images and print, it is so slow and closes up…do you have this problem? Thanks for sharing!
Dina, Yeah, it loads slow for me too, but I'm sure it's just because the images are HUGE. I think it's a 'get what you pay for' sort of thing. Iit doesn't bother me that I have to wait a while for the page to load – cause it's free! :)
Thanks for the award A Little Luxe! How sweet of you!! xx
Miranda, I actually would do a white mat/white or gold frame with these. OR! I would print them really huge and frame them in acrylic sheets (so there is not a traditional mat or frame moulding.
Jenny, this is brilliant! You always have the best finds. ;)
Agreed, how were these taken 100 yrs ago. They are so striking and modern.
Those pictures are beautiful. I'm a sucker for anything Paris especially amazing old photos like these. Wow, Paris is magical isn't it?
They are magnificent. Light, especially in the first picture is amazing.
Saludos!
Absolutely beautiful!
These pictures make me smile.
Those pictures are wonderful! They look like they are almost computer generated. I love that they are in fact the real deal!

Love these pics! And perfect timing since I'm heading to Paris on Saturday. I hope I get to take some amazing pics myself.
these are fantastic and free. wow! thanks for the tip.
So cute! The link made me click on your dining room set up, and it's gorgeous. Do you think you could post a painting tutorial sometime? All of your painted furniture looks so good, while mine always kind of looks… painted. Badly painted. Maybe tips, tricks, tools, types of paint? That'd be so awesome!
I wish the Eiffel Towers lights were still like that now! They look magical.. like it's floating. I'm not a big fan of the sparkling lights they have these days.
Stunning!! http://dbf-atelier.blogspot.com
LOVE them. I tried clicking on the link . . . but it didn't work. :( Is the site just down for a bit? I'd love to print some off for my home.
