Have you been in to a Pier 1 store in the past couple of weeks?? Let’s just say, if you are still trying to get up some lovely holiday decor before your in-laws arrive, Pier 1 is your one-stop shop! Check out a fraction (!) of the ornament section at my local store:

But, if you’re already on top of your holiday decorating, Pier 1 has some really great furniture and accessories that would make for home-run holiday gifts! Here are some of the pieces that really caught my eye:
I LOVE this red chinois console!

This iron and wood step stool would be gorgeous in a library, pantry or kitchen!

I’ve actually been meaning to blog about the amazing black dining table for a while now. I love this so much. It reminds me of something from Oly Studio or Brocade Home for a fraction of the price.

Check out the detail of the leg:

And how about this butler’s pantry!? Leave it as is or get creative with a fun paint color.

I also love this cabinet!

Isn’t this a beautiful stacking ball lamp? It looks so expensive in person!

Also, two mercury glass lamps that caught my eye in the store:

Gorgeous tortoise shell patterned hurricane glass!

And all sorts of beautiful blue and white jars…

There was a great section brimming with stocking stuffer ideas. I loved this gold measuring tape, animal print compact mirrors, and I love this cheetah pashmina too!

I picked up some blinking Rudolph noses for my girls and some of the jingle bell sticks:

And Santa may or may not be putting one of these adorable zebras in one of my daughters’ stockings:

These insulated cups are going in my stocking

Also on my wish list? Well, I was pretty smitten with this capiz shell mirror. It was HUGE and absolutely gorgeous!

And of course, the Honeycomb mirror is still at the very top of my list! I have it on hold in a store in NJ, so I might be beating Santa to the punch on this one.

This brown velvet pillow was a favorite of the day for me – it reminds me of Lulu DK’s Chant. The little boudoir size is perfect for an arm chair.

  1. I hope you buy that gorgeous mirror! You'll be sad if you don't and it sells out. Trust. I've been there too many times myself.

  2. What an amazing round up! I hope they paid you as much as this post was worth. They're going to get a ton of business from this post. I know I just probably cost myself a couple hundred! yeeps.
    So, thanks…I guess. :)

  3. Wow this was a great post! I love seeing your take on the selection and quality of items in different stores because there are some things in this post I may have passed by, but when you draw attention to the detail or a good way to implement it in the home, it makes me look at it a whole new way!

  4. oooh! Great round up! I always forget about Pier 1, but it looks like it's worth dropping by this week. Thanks!

  5. Ok I seriously have that black table in my formal dining room. I got it on clearance for only $300 and it set the whole stage for the room. I love it! It's so sturdy and easy to clean and the style is a total showstopper. The only caveat is that it can easy scratch so I have to be careful!

  6. I like Pier 1 for ornaments. My boyfriend and I recently got a hall bench, which we love.. but the Thayne Parsons dining table we brought home (in a box!) was damaged in several places, so we had to return it. Boo!

  7. Ive always wanted that table as well. Ive seen it in a discount furniture store nearby and there was one on craigslist in my area.

Unfortunately…I wasnt ready to fork over the $700 for the entire set, but what a table it is!!!

  8. Just now saw this post. I've worked at a Tulsa, OK Pier 1 for almost two years now. I'm as obsessed as you with that Adina step stool. I went to work there for the discount; that's how much I love their stuff! Since this post there's another table we have called McBride – you should give it a look. It is a 47" round table with two drop leaves that make it only 17" across when they are both down, and comes in dark brown. But the best part is that it's convertible from regular table height to counter height with the simple addition of screw-on leg extenders. The legs are a great turned shape, and the extensions are extensions of the turned shape, so if you didn't know that it was convertible, you'd never guess it.
