One of my clients works there and is due this summer with a little girl to be named Quinn. Here’s where we are with the nursery…

We wanted something fun and bright and girly but not overly so. Still working on finding the perfect dresser/changing table.

  1. Quite possibly my FAVORITE nursery board I've ever seen. Wow, that Quinn is a lucky gal.

ps- i do have the coveted discount… don't know what i'd do without it!

  2. Wow – that chesterfield sofa is fabulous! Your blog is simply put..amazing. I sat down the other day and I think I read it from beginning to end. As a new blogger (and fellow DIY-er) I was quite impressed. I look forward to more to come. :)

  3. LOVE it all- the chevron stripes, red crib, the name Quinn!

And, that is, most definitely my dream sofa. Does your client have another heavily discounted one? :)

  4. Gorgeous nursery! Quinn is a beautiful choice, it is my cousin's middle name and I've always loved it.

Now, I'm running off to order Finnegan the Fox for my son Finnegan!

  5. Please, please, please (if you can/will) tell me where you found that amazing lamp!!! And, whether the chevron print in aqua is a fabric you've found, or what. I love them both!

  6. So cute! I love the play of colors. They seem so vintagey! I just bought that same frakin mirror off of craigslist for $60..lol. Her nursery is going to be so chic & great for the kid to grow in.

  7. It's all gorgeous.. what a beautifully eclectic mix! The cot and the floral fabric are heavenly, and who could go past that sofa!!
    :)

  8. this is the most stunningly designed nursery i have EVER seen! i can't wait to see photos of the finished product. the red crib is a highlight for me. do you have a source for the print in the top left corner?

  9. So my daughter named Quinn is turning 7 in a couple of weeks – could you just buy two of everything and send it to me? That would be great. Thanks. :)

  10. oh wow! this may be one of my favorites! the sofa is amazing. please please please show the final results! i love how gender neutral it is. i feel like so many gender neutral nurseries look boring for like they're for a boy. you could put a boy or girl in here and both would fit perfectly!

  11. loves it all… that sofa is amazing and so chic for a sofa. Is the crib being bought red or is being painted red.

Also – what kind of paint do you suggest painting an item that will be in a baby's room.

P.S. move over Quinn I think I'm going to be bunking with you in that room.

  12. I'd love to know where you got the chevron fabric, and what color are you painting the walls?

  13. Oh my gosh!!! This is insanely gorgeous! I want this nursery but I'm a long way away from having a baby (or even getting married for that matter). You are constantly shocking me with your design skills!

  14. This is going to be so cute! I can't wait to see the "after." I am currently transforming our little boy nursery into a little girl one, and ironically had some of the same elements in mind. I was going to get some coral seersucker fabric for the windows and bring in red accents to balance out the green and white stripe Ikea rug (I got the idea from you-I stitched together two runners) and tan walls. I'm looking for some floral fabrics that bring in all the colors. What is this one that you're using?

  15. Since I'm working on my son's nursery, I love seeing how others are coming together. This one is absolutely adorable! I love that it's whimsical without being babyish.

  16. LOVE this!!! I love that it's girly without being pink and has tons of charm! It sort of reminds me of Sloane's nursery (Erika from Urban Grace Interiors).

  17. Oh my goodness. What a darling room that will be. I love every last thing about it.

It may not be right for this room, but for each of our little ones we have used an IKEA Hemnes dresser as a changing table. It's a good height for us (we are tall), and it's a dresser…not a changing table, so it grows with the kiddo. We have a black one with cute Anthropologie knobs (bought at full price, alas–no discount here).

Thanks for sharing this amazing room.

  18. Oh my goodness. Can I have all these elements (except the crib, obv) for MY room, please? Especially the landmarks print/fabric/wallpaper. Whatever it is, I want it.

  19. what a lucky little girl! love the red crib combined with the blue and white chevron fabric. My new favorite color combo.

  20. I am also interested in getting more information on the chevron fabric. Have been looking for some for our little boy's nursery. Please advise! Thank you!

  21. Love it…..especially that chevron "something"–hoping it's a rug. It would be the perfect aqua addition to my little girl's room. More info please.

  22. If I worked at Anthropologie, I would want to live there! Every time I walk in, it just feels so calm and serene. But I think my husband would be bummed if I slept there every night so I guess it's not on my career path :)

  23. since friends of our are having the first babe in our gang ;).. I can't stop thinking about baby things.. that Bed is really stunning..

  24. I am absolutely in love. I am going to be just like everyone else and ask where the new york wallpaper/print is from? It is fabulous. I also love the crib–is it bought that color or painted? You are one seriously talented gal.

  25. Hi friends,

Thanks for all the nice comments. We're excited about the room too!

The chevron fabric is from Premier Prints.

The crib was purchased online already red (just google red jenny lind crib). My client paid more because she didn't want to deal with spray painting a Jenny Lind crib herself, which is what I would have done (and have done with my own girls' crib).

The subway print can be found on the MTA (NYC's subway system) website in the gifts or prints section. At least it was there a few weeks ago… It was illustrated by Julia Rothman, who I am a big fan of.

    The lamp is from Anthro.

The floral print is actually a rug! It's from Overstock (surprise, surprise).

The red ticking is a sheet from Serena and Lily.

I think that's it. I'm in a rush out the door, or I would have included the links here. Let me know if you can't find anything.

And thanks goes to Shari for footing the bill and then being willing to share all this "insider's info" with you guys. :)
