I’m sure you’ve been glued to the computer and television like I have. (Checking Reddit until 3am? Yeah, me too.) My heart aches for my poor Boston. I hope you all are staying safe, especially our old Cambridge friends. We’re all praying and hoping here that this lock down ends soon. I hate seeing all those so-familiar places as the setting of such scary circumstances, but I know you guys will continue to pull together. There’s no tougher city than Boston. xo

I was at the Boston Marathon cheering for a friend on Monday and watching the week's events unfold has been surreal. Thanks for your words of solidarity.
Ugh, I was at the explosion on Monday (safely across the street thank god) Have had to live in what feels like a military police state Tuesday through Thursday, and am now shut up in my house. I just want it all to be over. It doesn't even feel real. Thanks for the comforting words.
Please remember to send your prayers down here to Texas too. With a dozen fatalities, over 150 injured, West, Texas can use love too. What a hard, hard week it's been for America.

Thank you – I live outside Boston, and it has been a week of sadness and horror. Today has been very difficult for sure. Thank you for acknowledging what's happening here.
Just reading the comments here shows how many are affected by these horrible events. Both cities in my thoughts this week.
It's so surreal as K whatch said. My husband's boss was critically injured in the explosion. His name is John Odom and he was three weeks away from retirement. Such a sweet wonderful guy. Please say a prayer for him and all of the people hurt by this, as well as for Texas. What a week.
I work at MIT and live in Lexington. I was glued to the TV from 11pm-3am and all day today. I'm so glad it's ovah.
Thank you for this. It's been a little sad to see so many bloggers out there continuing with their regular posts about pretty nails, outfits, etc. in the midst of such tragedy, not even acknowledging that so many people lost their lives and were afraid of losing their lives.
Have been following both events on the news here in the UK and my thoughts are with everyone who has been injured but also with the families of the two brothers identified as the bombers. No Mother has children expecting this to be the outcome of their lives.
I agree with Betina, how can so many on blogs and Facebook go on as if nothing horrific has happened this week? This week has changed my life forever, and I'm not even directly affected.
